What is the name of these zip boots from the doc martens x raf simons collection? I' m lost, I've never seen these kind of zip boots.
>13 pln for a pair of boots
shit, that's like 3$
what are these made out of?
Sorry for the shitty pic, this is better
cop or not
Not, it seems tacky and cheap
350$ italian-made
Same question as last thread:
Wanting a pair of Rangers to take into gigs, festivals, the woods, generally as my beaters but with maintanance like waxing and polishing. Are Grinders worth it, what about Boots and Braces? (The latter has a nice rub-off burgundy-coloured pair on selection)
my dad wears those
IVAN GET THE SIZE 12s PARATROOPER BOOTS BACK IN STOCK
My favorite booties.
Missed this thread
Just got these dudes. Theyve been giving some arch pain, I'm not sure how much of it is due to them not fitting well or them not being tight enough. I will say that it doesn't feel as though they hug my foot well enough
im out of the loop
are red wings still a good cop?
What would you guys recommend for a casual boot to wear every day that would match a more /out/, earthtone fit?
thanks famalam
is something like this hideous?
Really dig these Chippewas, cop?
I would, I'd say change the laces to round or lace them a different way, they kinda look like they're laced with ribbon atm
that doesn't matter, they still look like your typical black mannequin boots
It might be the flat sole if its giving you arch pain, get some of those gel under arch supports
They can look pretty good depending on the fit, id go with the taller ones personally though
>I'd say change the laces to round or lace them a different way, they kinda look like they're laced with ribbon atm
Exactly what I was thinking senpai
if you wear boots when your city doesn't have year round snow you are a poser faggot
Should i get the Kommandostore boots? they look great, but i dont know what to wear with them. also, i dont know how to polish or clean boots. any tips?
Here's a short version:
>use some old (clean) rag to wipe the boots after every use (nothing too specific, just wipe off mud and shit that gets stuck, you should also brush the creased areas as well)
>clean and wipe your boots
>balsam them 1-3 times a month, depending on how often you use them (use a shoe-brush or a sponge to spread the balsam/oil/dubbin evenly, use an old toothbrush for the creased points and the area between the boot and the sole, let the balsam dry for a while, then scrub with a shoe-brush or a towel to get the excess balsam left on the boot, repeat this as necessary if you want a nice, clean polish
>take out the insoles out after wearing them (for hygiene reasons)
>also, replace the insoles to some better ones (there are multiple kinds, some give you cushioning etc.)
And as for style, a pair of well-fitting, dark slim-fitting jeans is good enough. Tuck the leg inside the boot or roll it up to show off the leg. Wear a leather jacket or a parka for dem sweet look-shitty-but-in-a-effay-way-points. Don't wear flashy shit though, you'll end up looking like an awkward art-student that way.
recycled biedronka plastic bags
thank you, good advice senpai. where can i get some insoles & cleaning kits? the boot stores usually overcharge.
youtube.com
Order online. I can't tell any stores apart from the ones we have here (Varusteleka.fi and Salainen Agentti), but look around online. Just get a big tub of saddle-balsam or something, good luck.
Or fuck it, support your local businesses, i buy my stuff mainly from the cobbler, it's a god bless to have one right in the center of the city, that place has fixed my boots twice by now (creases turned into holes).
id love to buy stuff from a local cobbler, but theres not much near me, and they have kinda bad reviews. guess i can buy new laces from walmart desu. i hope i don't have to resole whole boots.
Just take good care of them. As a last bit of advice: rotate your shoes. It's the reason people call Docs shit, because it's the only shoe they'll wear every day and skip taking care of them. That's how you end up with dirty, scuffed, messed-up boots.
always wondering caterpillar or timbs which is better constructed
Big collector of different boots. Never been a fan of wedge sole working boots, but they've been holding up for five years now. The quality is good, but i don't see how these would work in a diversity of fits
Cavallk's from three years ago. Wanted a different take on chelsea boots and was surprised by the quality and softness of the leather.
Basically what the other user said however I prefer to use a a stiff brush to clean the boots, and a soft brush to buff them afterwards, also dont use too much balsalm otherwise the leather will become too soft and tear and be sure to actually polish your boots to keep them looking nice, Id recommend cherry blossom polish
I haven't owned either but cat boots feel like much more solid boots and they're heavier too which usually means more robust and better quality materials. I personally like the look of cats better and they still have the association of work wear rather than googles
What's the best slim black boot I can buy within 60-120€?
I'm from Europe
>Pic related, from solovair but i can't find them on sale
How about you look around online? No outlets or stores (except in Britain) sell Solovair here either. It's a niche brand, Docs have almost all of the marketing and most recognition, so no wonder.
man id love to have some meme martins. but the quality of the brand has gone to shit now, they aren't good for everyday wear. but matnence is important.
New to boot wearing.
Is there a guide I should use to know if a boots fit is right for me? I have my mental notes of what to look for in shoes from years of trial and error but no experience with boots
Shoes are basically the same as boots, they'll take longer to wear in though. Other than that you'll be looking for all of the same stuff
So for wear in, what should I expect during this longer wear in period? Pain, etc?
I need a decent casual brown boot and I don't really care for desert boots, would the leather Palladium hiker be an alright choice? On sale for over half-off and there's only one left in my size, but wanted to get opinions first.
Just got a pair of Ukrainian Chrome officer boots. They're absolutely killer!
What can I wear with these that wont make me look like a Nazi, thpigj? Wearing them with my GDR police breeches (Basically Feldgrau Jodhpurs) is problematic to say the least.
Would wearing brighter colors/olive drab give off a less fascist vibe?
I am having difficulty finding boots like this.
What I'm looking for are a pair of "minimal" black boots with a crepe/flat sole, and with a side or back zipper. It's specific, but I know lots of designers have used this design (e.g. Rick, Damir Doma) - yet I can't seem to find anything that's in my size (US 8).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Convince me to buy a boot besides the Iron Ranger
Quite a bit of pain and blistering. Just get yourself some decent thick wool socks and you'll be good though. If they're particularly bad wearing a thin pair of socks underneath the wool ones can really help
Boi you are gonna look either like a nazi or a German porn director wearing those
Lurk grailed for the rick boots
His silhouette for them is the best, accept no substitute. Ann D corset boots are pretty cool too and there are creeper sole versions but because of the meme status they are expensive as fuck
Yeah, maintenance is important with every kind of boot, leather or not. Scrubbing off dirt, brushing, balsaming/oiling is par for the course when getting a pair. But sadly it's true, Docs have gone down in quality.
Is that mold at the corner?
A couple weeks ago I got some nut on my tombs. I'm going home rn to take a pic of them. In the meantime, anyone know a good way to clean cum off your boots?
Get bigger feet
Has anyone here ever had Dubarry boots? They seem really nice and comfortable, it's just that the price is too high for my tastes.
You'll look like a faggot wearing those in public, so you'll either look like a Nazi and get fucked by liberals or you'll look like a faggot to Neo-Nazi's.
Please don't wear these in public user, this is social suicide and will ruin the last shred of dignity you have.
The Beckman's
To add to this, kinda a similar question
What should I be aware of when trying boots on to make sure they'll be a good fit in the long run
How are solovair boots compared to Docs? I need this kind of a boot, but Common Projects Winter Boots are sold out everywhere.
Does Ivan ever reply to emails? :(
All I want is some damn boots
Post feet
Still waiting on him to reply to mine.
My feet are too small for a size 8...
any thoughts on oliberte? site is having a sale right now and I like these two styles the most out of anything
oliberte.com
oliberte.com
not a huge fan of chelseas but for some reason I like the mudikos. would still prefer them without the elastic though.
anyone have an idea when the austrian boots restock on kommandostore? atm only US8-8.5 is available
No, zips look bad on boots unless you're going for a Final Fantasy goth fit
Cop or not? They look pretty good, but the groove on the heel seems a little goofy
If you're buying Chippewa, get the loggers
There's something that seems too feminine about the loggers' high and narrow heel that wouldn't work with me.
What would you wear the loggers with?
How much should you walk in a new pair of boots to break them in? I walk my dog for about an hour and a half every day, but I've only been walking in my boots a half hour because I'm worried about blisters. Is that enough to break them in properly after a month or too?
And can I wear boots like these without "sick raws" or wearing goofy menswear like those manlet dandies you see? I bought them on sale without really thinking it through
Jeans and earth tones, camo print, or greys
Why? I have the ugliest feet i've ever seen
ive found that my red wings fit best if i get them one size above the one that is so tight i want to cry. they always break in great for me after about a week or so.
though i am missing several toe nails so that that fwiw
I've been thinking about copping another pair of boots to my collection (got RW Beckman's already). Does anybody have any experiences with Thursday boots?
are boots okay on short people? what's a good brand, I only have sneakers. I'm 5'5" btw.
Depends on what styles you go for, I'd say stick with lower boots because you need all the height you can get. You can't really go wrong with anything made in the UK in my experience whether it be desert boots or Derby boots
thanks I'll try to get solovairs then, they don't look like they go that high
I'd stick with their 6 or 8i boots for a manlet like yourself
Would these be worth repairing for the price?
*$13
Why not just get ones which aren't broken? They aren't exactly expensive.
Shoe size for me is 14 pretty hard desu.
ID on these boots plx
If you can't find any others in your size and you like the boots then why not? It doesn't look like it would be an expensive job or that much of a difficult one if you'll do it yourself. Go for it user
I need a pair of work boots Veeky Forums. Preferably some I could wear outside of work and not look autistic (incorporate them in fits).
palladiums have a unique sole, it almost reminds me of converse. Those books look fine
Cop or not?
fuck no
Recommend something you negroid
Well what kind of fit are you going for?
tech wear interests me
Red Wing boots are good for this. They are durable, and you can clean them to look nice
T-thanks. Any particular model?
I literally need em for work. But milspo outside of work
what kind work are we talking about? movie grip? storehouse grunt? evil henchman?
Unpacking boxes from semi trucks, moving pallets etc
I fell for the meme. are these too bright to wear with black jeans? I feel like the colors clash too much but I want a second opinion
decide how much you are willing to spend, then decide what style of boot you want. Personally I like the Beckman Rounds since they are versatile. Check out their website
What are they?
if the price is right, and you take off those patches, then I say you'r good
Thanks for your time. But I couldn't see the beckman's as work boots
I wear Solovair every day, but my legs start to hurt after 15 minutes of constant walking. After walking for 25 minutes I start feel an ache on my calves every time I sit down on a bench to rest. Is there a way to fix this issue? The shoes do not feel heavy when I wear them. I can still feel a slight ache even if I do not walk the day after.
W2C a peair of lace up knee high boots, similar to pick related. any suggestions?
Its for my motorbike so needs to be sturdy. no pleather or rubber soles please.
>tfw to short too wear skinhead
Do you lace them tightly? I had ache in calves, when laced boots too tight
Lace the horizontal section of the boot tighter than the vertical section
Lace the shoe bit tighter than the leg bit
If that fails then you're a leglet so just keep wearing them till it stops hurting
