Would like to point out the Diemme Veneto low is on sale on End too and also fits into the Svensson/Gustin pricerange.

Depends on what you buy. I have Stans that are maybe a month and a half old that are starting to grandma wrinkle but anything with quality leather will last much longer.

I try to clean mine after every 2nd or so wear and they're still white

Greats Royale, got mine at a thrift store for 13 bucks and the leather feels really nice. Retail is less than half a pair of CPs and the newer models don't have the weird side stitches

Because it's not "just" a simpler stan smith, one of the big differences that alot of ppl either don't know or never talk about is how the toe box of a Stan Smith is fairly round while Common Projects have a more pointed toe box which makes you look less like you're wearing some sort of round clown shoe or cartoon shoe and its also more sleeker and slim in comparison to a Stan Smith which is kind of wide and fat

I've had these in the 90s. Can confirm they wear nicely, good quality and make for great casual shoes. IMHO you just can't really fuck them up like Chucks etc. because they only look great when they're squeaky clean.

I have both (although the Gats are Mids) I'd recommend Gats personally. Raw denim will stain the leather for either so watch for that. Common Projects run a bit large, at least they did in my case. I can fit into them alright but honestly if I had sized down I think I would be happier with them. With my CPs I also got blisters on my heels for awhile but I'm guessing that's just because of the sizing issue.

Both will take time to "break in" but MMM gats and MMM shoes in general break in really well. I have future lows and they're incredibly comfortable. As are the MMM mids.

Either way you're getting a high quality shoe, all of my problems with CPs can be written off as sizing issues. Both are very well constructed, and if you shop around for awhile you can find amazing deals on both. For example I got my CPs for $250, and my Future Lows for $200.
