>it rains more than half of the year where I live >the floor is always wet because of rain
>the wet floor destroy my shoes >soles always deattach
How do I fix this? I've tried fixing my 2 favorite shoes myself and I think I fucked it up.
I don't buy expensive shoes because of this.
Jackson Long
Buy fucking boots.
Joshua Rodriguez
Boots aren't commons where I live, you'd look like a clown.
Cameron Gutierrez
Then don't store your shoes on the floor????
Samuel Miller
What do normies wear when it's wet then
Henry Evans
>Then don't store your shoes on the floor That's not the problem fuckwitt, the problem is walking from point A to point B with the rainy floor.
Julian Reyes
What kind of garbage shoes do you buy? Never in my life have I had that happen.
Jaxon Bell
that's irrelevant, walking on rain everyday will ruin any shoe.
Jonathan Phillips
Bean boots?
Joseph Cooper
Buy shoes that are well-constructed and suited for rain, not fucking Vans. If it rains half of the year, you should really be wearing boots.
Thomas Rogers
Galoshes? Wonder bread bags?
Landon Perez
OP, Imma give you some real advice. Leave your shithole and move.
Justin Gonzalez
Buy shoes with rubber soles or move to a warmer country which i am planning to do because half of the week i cant wear my leather soled shoes.
Xavier Sanders
>regular casual shoes you mean sneakers. just say it. what a fucking faggot. wear what you want
Joseph Barnes
Well, you have a few fundamental problems here.
>You're not wearing the correct material for the weather. Ideally, your shoes should be rubber or plastic. With that not being viable, you should then prefer treated leathers or lined leathers. If you must use any other material, read, not water resistant, you must treat them with a wax or water repellent. >Your shoes are garbage If your soles are detaching from your shoe, like literally peeling off, then it definitely isn't stitched correctly to the sole. Which means that your soggy garbage shoes are held together with glue which dissolves. >Your garbage shoes are not appropriate for the environment If you live in a water prone environment buy water resistant shoes. >You're not even taking proper steps to protect your garbage shoes. If it's canvas, get a proper wax for it. If it's leather, get a proper water repellent for it. If it's neither, get an alcohol spray. Ideally, you'd wear covers, but people don't really do that.
>I will do none of these things Then no one can help you.
Cooper Parker
v i b r a m sole
Lincoln Walker
Actually this thread gave me the idea of getting an hydrophobic spray. Apparently they don't sell it where I live.
Do you know about any other home-remedies. how does the alcohol spray thing work?
Carter Butler
It's a spray that repels water and is typically safe for materials.
Samuel Clark
Do you mean any alcohol spray?
Asher Carter
Well, it has to be water repellent. You don't want to use a silicon spray on your shoes.
Jeremiah Sullivan
lots of shoe brands make waterproof versions of their more popular models
