Society in general is at the apathy and tolerance stage... you are not special in that sense. Making money with that kind of capital isnt hard.. I mean you could do the whole house thing, but that shit takes forever and has all kinds of headaches. What you need to do is learn how to trade crypto's, Or let me use your capital to make both of us money ;)

Don't waste your time OP, I'm like you but with about 100k less, and they'll insult you and talk shit but they'll never give you any real ideas or plans, because they don't have any themselves.

Not OP but that's what I figured. You can't coax a response from these spergs because their business plan amounts to "I'll start a business"

I want to become an entrepreneur. I realize to do this, I have to identify a problem that can be solved through a product or service. Veeky Forums, how do I get good at identifying problems? I can't think of anything that needs solving. Should I think big or small?

Checked, and confirmed. Cost of living always goes up, and investments don't always do well. Day job is required if you don't want to find yourself broke and old and having to go back to work

was thinking about getting into buying properties and fixing them up or just renting it out

Viable, but you really need to do your homework first. Like, is it a popular tourist area? How will you get tenants? What will you do with it in the off season? What are the taxes like? If you want to fix it up, are you going to do it yourself or hire contractors?

None of this is impossible or even particularly difficult, but go in blind and you'll create a ton of headaches for yourself.

ZeroReborn

@ZeroReborn
That's the wrong way to go about it. Most successful businesses these days arent doing anything new or re-inventing the wheel. They succeed because their owners are passionate enough to put in the work.

Think of what you are passionate about and wouldnt mind working 7 days a week on instead of trying to come up with the next revolutionary product lying in bed.

I love all the people who talks and talk endless about how they can "make big" if they had money to make money.

Please tell me, just how you would go on about that?
Not one person can tell me because you fucks have no idea how money works in real life.

This joker just said he can double 320k in a year
If you can double that, any old joe with decent inheritance would be a millionaire.

just said that it was the worst job he's ever had. I don't think doubling 320k into at leas 600k in a year is not the worst job anyone can have, since that will give you the best luxury life if done repeatedly.

How does watching wealth accumulate does anything for doubling 320k?

I want definitive plans or even just a skeletal structure of a plan.

"Work in private banking"
is not a solid plan

"Start a business"
is not a solid plan

"Invest in stock"
is not a solid plan

I want something you can use it to hold yourself up in court if they ask you why you have extra 300k within a year.

As the original poster said:
Buy house, renovate, repeat.
Although that will take far longer time.

True. But i am trying and improving. I would start studying personal finance. Get hold of the best cheap seminars and free meetups and dont tell anyone you have money or talk much. Just learn. You will form a plan. Dign up for credit karma. Listen to what it says. Fucmx your shit get some credit cards, use one or 2 one month. But keep it under 30% utilization. Do it you have a 1000 credit line keep it under 300. 1 month first bill come. Pay minimum. Next month 2nd bill come. Pay off all balance and switch out cards. Continue study. Learn to budget better and not piss away this meal ticket so many of us lose. As self punishment u should get a better job and pay yourself back that money and then use your own paycheck to invest in assets. Only dip in small amouts of the nest egg u fixed when u making small progits and learning. U will fuck up. But u will learn. Really first step is ficmxing your shit and learning to live right. Moving in with your folks be a good start to paying yourswlf back what u pissed away. Good luck.

P.s. stay THEY FUCK away from stocks and shillcpins for a long while.

Im looking at renting some houses at roughly 5% of purchase price per month. Minus exoenses should be 30%-40% gains even with my fuckups. My local market has been fucked for 30 years. I have 3 houses and getting a 4th. A local business got bought out and is more that quadroupling in size. They have started construction. Until grund is broke i dont buy into this shit. Pad near being poored in another factory. Another bought land and moved in equipment. I have no actual fuck what is going on around here bit im hoping to the moon.

Meh, making 2% now and breaking even tho forcing appreciation.

@Evil_kitten
"Start a business"
is not a solid plan
it sort of is.
I mean my business could easily turn $320k into $640k in a year.

the problem is I don't actually need anon's $320k to make that kind of money. I can go to the bank and borrow $320k if I did need it. A business that has bad credit might take his money and double it for him, but it seems more likely if they were capable of that kind of ROI they'd have much better credit, no?

I mean I can take $10k and turn it into a million in a year, but then my banks will give me $10k to spend without blinking an eye because they've seen me do it before.

Skullbone

@massdebater
So... You think "stat a business" is even a remotely viable plan?
Why don't I simply go write down a plan that says "make money" ?

What I'm trying to say is that when people say "start a business" never bothers to actually dive deeper into what they mean by that.

Do you think "starting a business" of licking OP's ass will be a profitable idea?

Please, do tell me what your "business" is rather than just telling people: "Business"

You don't go to the bank and just ask them to give you 10k for "business".
You have to tell them what you're doing or even the vaguest category of services you provide.

Don't you get it?
Let me spell it out for you:
WHAT business are you doing?
Food? Technology? IT? Finacial Services?

If it's technology, WHAT KIND of technology?
Microwave? RF? Rotorblade?

God stop this fucking stupidity people PLEASE.

You're wasting your time

Starting a business takes a massive amount of planning, capital, and risk.

The majority don't even succeed anyway.

They have a whole new set of problems that wageslaves never even think about

It's easier for this board to circle jerk itself by just giving out the blanket statement and calling it a day.
