We made an offer to them (which was flatly rejected for reasons that remain unclear to us even after expliclty asking), and they did make an 'offer' to give us a grossly inadequate sum of money to hand over everything we've done and walk away, after being told at the very beginning that doing so was completely out of the question. That was a toughie to consider.

Doddler in particular, as he has written up a very detailed blogpost about his hacking job on Baldr and he's pretty much the only one who has been able to make tools on it. Not to mention that it's likely Doddler will be paid by Sekai eventually to work on Baldr. Considering how closely Aroduc and Doddler have worked together I really doubt he'd fuck over his associate like that.
