My dad asked me to do a oil change myself. And he gave me pic related.
Can someone on Veeky Forums tell me what to do?

What does your daddy run?
CR-V?
just remove the oil cap and empty that container. the old filter should just break off if you feed it a bit of leverage, attach new one. done
alternativey, what every other cunt would have done
>google
>youtube
>scotty kilmer
>etc
open the purple drink
pour it into that weird cup
drink for energy
Greentext him
>synthetic
And call him a nigger
do not do this
Very important:
>Buy jackstands if you don't have them
>jack car up
>***PUT JACK STANDS UNDER CAR***
>unscrew drain plug on bottom of engine, drain oil into container
>screw drain plug back in
>remove old filter (INCLUDING O-ring)
>apply some new oil to new filter
>install new filter (INCLUDING O-ring)
>Lower car
>Pour in new oil until dipstick shows max
>put fill cap back on
>idle engine for a few minutes to see if anything goes wrong
>test drive
Done. Takes 30 minutes once you know what you're doing.
I don't know what you mean
Is this another generic post by alphonse made to waste the time of helpful people so that they have less time to actually help deserving people?
No this is a miata thread.
Going to need at the least one more quart tell your dad he's a faggot
Civic r or something
I really hope this is a troll thread
>mfw this is a car board
you are supposed to open the hood and you can literally just splash it wherever you fucking idiot. It's the easiest shit in the world and people still dont know how to do it, pathetic
That's only two of the letters, what about the V?
>I really hope this is a troll thread
It's always a troll thread
What now?
no no no, u need to go under your car u dumb ass
...
>VOIR LE MANUEL UTILISATEUR
It's a lot easier to just pour the oil in with the gas that way the engine naturally lubricates itself as it runs.
Why is it always the Honda kiddies who buy into gimmicky bullshit like Royal Purple?
Its not the VW cunts or the Subie vape fags, always the Honda kiddies.
You have a blown headgasket
VW won't even consider warrenty on new cars if you dont prove you have used ZE EURO BLEND OIL. Subbie people suck off that Rotella T6.
Royal purple is hillbilly harley fags and baby's first used car.
...
...
WHO THE FUCK DESIGNED THIS
>royal purple
ew
on later generation K series Honda brought the oil filter location to a lower (and easier) location.
I've got the same fucking headache on my dad's TSX. Its right above the hanger bearing for the intermediate shaft. One of these oil filter tools will work. I fucking HATE them though, they blow ass for almost every other application.
>using any oil besides castrol edge or mobil1
>using any filter besides Wix/Napa gold/mobil1
RIP in piece your engine
>mobil1
plebeian
I've got castrol edge high mileage and a Wix xp in my car right now, so no not really. Mobil1 would just be my second choice if I couldn't get castrol for whatever reason.
This
nark
kick that v-tec
Where does Mobil 1 fall into your opinions on stereotypes
>remove oil cap
>add oil
>remove filter
>put on new filter
Yeah I'm sure these directions will work out perfectly well.
>throw away the royal purple and buy some valvoline
>jack up and secure the car
>locate the oil pan
>unscrew the screwy bit on the oil pan
>drain into a catch pan
>wait until all the old oil is drained out
>I let it drip out while I get the old filter out as my pan is big enough to catch the oil from the drain bolt and the oil filter but if you can't just put the bolt back in nice and snug but not extermly tight
>you can get a oil filter wrench or use your hands to get the filter off but if you can't get a flat head screw driver and stab the old filter and use the screw driver to twist it off
>when you get the old filter off see if the seal is still on the filter and check the block and see if there might be a seal stuck to the block
>if all checks out get your new filter and open your oil up and dip your finger in the oil and coat the new seal
>put your new filter on and get it tight try to avoid using a oil filter wrench as you could crush the filter
>after you have developed arthritis from applying the filter put the drain plug back in if you haven't already
>locate the oil filler cap ontop on the engine and fill the engine up until reach a full or max mark on the dipstick
>now start the car and let it idle for like 5 seconds
>turn it off and now fill the engine up again to the max or full mark on the dipstick
Make sure to do that last bit as you are changing the filter Usally a quart or so is stuck in the filter and you have get oil into the new filter our it will be low
>valvoline
>not using the oil of the gods
...
>Dino juice
AHAHAHAHA FAGGOT
>not wanting to use oil made in the US from the oldest oil manufacturer
It's like ur gey our something
>not knowing synthetics are still made from crude
I use nothing but the best
my civic uses 5w-20 so I don't think it's a civic
>>apply some new oil to new filter
I've been wiping old oil of my old filter and applying it to my new filter O-ring. Is my engine going to explode?
RIP in peace your engine bro
Start car
Drive out
Get hektik
Drive back home
Jack car up
Put jack stands under car
Spend 30 minutes swearing and fearing for your life as you try to torque the drain plug off after some fucking "lube technician" put it on at 4000nm with an impact wrench
Also get out a new plug gasket because the old one is crushed
Completely remove the drain plug bolt over some sort of catch device
Wait
Remove the oil filter with a special oil filter wrench (or some good gloves/gorilla grip strength)
Replace plug with new gasket because the last idiot crushed the old one. Torque to service manual spec.
fill the filter with oil
replace filter, make sure the gasket from the old one didn't stick first. screw it on as tight as your hands can get it.
Add amount of oil service or user manual calls for
Run car for a while
Check oil level
Add more if necessary
>using any Castrol product
>not using Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra
Knife yourself friendo
Dat vtec tho
>GMT900
No u
Change the knock sensor while you're at it.
>Snapchat
Opinion discarded
>Ryco
my nigger ausfag here they are drop dead reliable.
hardly ever change mine
No, that oil doesn't even touch the new oil, it is solely to ensure the rubber gasket doesn't break or catch putting it on and makes it seal better
Wipe the surface around the filter housing and you will be all good
>memezoil
Enjoy your sulfur cuck
clearly a joke you cockstain
Underrated post
...
My EP3 type R used 5w-30
Not using the OE filter for the particular application.
you need some royal green to go with the royal purple
then inject one dose into the engine, and do this every 24 hours for as long as needed
>4000nm
Et tu mea latus
