It's a vaporware scam that will never see production. This same basic idea of a "revolutionary" 3 wheels car has been tried 3 separate times including the Elio, all by different people, and it has ALWAYS been a scam

no. Tesla will actually bring that to market. Everyone said the Tesla Roadster was vaporware, then it came out. Then they said the Model S was vaporware. Then it came out. The they said the Model X was vaporware and they'd never get those doors to work on a production version. Then it came out with working doors.

The batteries would be too expensive. Currently the cheapest new car is the Nissan Versa, which without luxuries like power windows is around $11K. So i assume Elio can charge less by slicing the car in half.
I thought it was bullshit too, but then Pepboys confirmed that they would be acting as service centers, so i dunno.
