They're on too tight mate

breaker bar all day, fuck Veeky Forums

Kick the breaker bar

I did and hurt my toe jumping on it didnt work either

Buy a cheap frrt frrrt

WD-40, wait a couple of minutes, try the breaker bar again.

Just make sure to thoroughly clean it out after.

those cheap ones dont even work tho

I bought one for like $10 and i swear to god my air ratchet has more power

Try standing in the thing. But only on the solid tool in the cars toolbox, not on an expensive variable torque tool.

Also make sure you try to turn the right way and you jack up the relevant tire just a little when loosening the nuts, then jack up fully to change the tire.

Seriously, i'm skeletal as fuck and i manage it easily

>get sent to pick up old 60s Chrysler 300
>good enough to drive
>tires weren't though
>one blows out
>put the force of the sun into getting the bolts off
>they don't budge and inch
>apparently old Chryslers have lug nuts you have to turn the opposite way for some reason

>get flat tire
>me and brother worry
>calm down after we check we got everything needed
>struggle like fuck with getting lug nuts off, and we both have lifted modestly (2plate squat for reps)
>think back on our dyel friend who is also an Veeky Forumstist
>we both hang our heads for him, knowing he will be unable when this happens to him

Introduce it to the meaning of torque. Get a floor jack, and put the end of the bar on it (kind of like in the picture). There's a picture of someone doing it but I can't find it

Take the floor jack handle off and put it over your tire iron and it will break loose

>get my first flat tire
>prepared for this, I'm the car guy of my friends
>i have all the tools I could ever need for car related repairs in the truck at all times
>flat tire after school one day senior year in the parking lot
>flat ground, sunshine, dry, seriously perfect time to change a tire if there ever was one
>rip two of the lug nut studs in half trying to take off the lugs
>dont trust driving home on 3 lugs
>sit on the hood of my car for an hour waiting for my dad to come pick me up while everyone and there mom asks if they can help with my car
>fuck off everyone else

Why don't you ask your boyfriend to do the hard work for you?

That was a pretty common thing up in to the '60s
They usually have an "L" on the end of the stud though.

ok guys I got now.

now I have another problem - when I'm jacking it it's starting to creak and it looks like the jack is pushing into and bending the frame rails. Is this normal?

Are you jacking it up on the subframe?

>I took the bait

no I'm using the jack points that they said to in the owners manual. pic related

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

That's a pinch weld not a frame rail. Put a hockey puck between the floor jack and the pinch weld and it won't bend. But couls.just be rusty.

They do, that's what gave me the brain jog to try whacking them the other way

ok Ill try that thanks

>$10
>no power

How very strange

get a clue and some leverage wtf

>when I'm jacking it it's starting to creak

Heh...heh..

That is where you jack it up.
Yes it will probbly bend. Ignore it.
t. Changed 100s of tires with no problems

Seriously, how do you guys even have these issues

>Car needs to be lifted
>No longer strong enough to just hold it over my head with one hand and work with the other

I need to start working out again.

if you're jumping on it wouldn't that mean you're rotating them clockwise i.e. tightening them?

nevermind i'm high as hell, disregard

...

Drugs are bad kiddo

Taking a shit on it will rotate it counter-clockwise. You're welcome.

jesus mate were you barefoot

Rest in peace.
