Yes you are a cuck

it just is oil mate
filter makes a bigger difference. fuck fram

i've heard so many people tell me high mileage is a scam that i dont know if its real or fake now
generally sythetic performs best in tests, however that shits expensive so i use blend

just get cheap oil and a good filter. thats all you need.

synthetic is the best because it last longer
otherwise it's the same shit

that does remind me to check what kind of filters valvoline uses, i didnt want to fuck with changing my own oil in 10 degree weather so i had them do it for me.

>he doesn't buy the best synthetic oil when it's on sale

maybe i need to start ordering online then because the only stuff thats ever on sale locally is conventional

The Cheapest fucking that fits, I guarantee it.

Been using that pennzoil elite for a few years now, its top stuff. They have a higher quality one as well, and i've been using that one

Look at the pennzoil line of products, they legit

did some research, they used a VO-106 Filter. not sure how shit they are

I read that high mileage mostly just promotes seal swell so it can help prevent your old gaskets from leaking, that's about it
>mfw using Mobil 1 full synthetic high mileage oil and a long life filter on my old shitbox and sticking with 7.5k intervals
Am I being cucked by the Jew?

i asked for some royal purple 10w-50 for my evo

>that fits
nope
>that physically threads on an makes a seal
FTFY

NONE of the quick change lube joints use appropriate filters for a given vehicle. Almost every single one of them is extremely undersized.

So long as that fucker will screw on, they're good with it. That lets them keep a smaller parts inventory, thus allowing a higher profit margin.

Only one oil for me

I don't think that meets apli, gli, ilsac or any ratings for that matter lol

No, you're only a 'cuck' if you watch guys plow your wife.

As a lube shop manager, this is true.
Like one filter size for EVERY Nissan or EVERY Honda. Or this BIG ass Ford truck with the same filter from a Taurus.

We have the dedicated filters but the system throws them all together. At least our filters are made by Wix.

To be fair, anyone visiting a KWIKI-LUBE deserves to have their vehicle ruined.

>go to a proper mechanic for my services
>orders the exact filter for my vehicle
>uses whatever grade of oil I want, always asks me beforehand
>even asks me what brand of tranny fluid I want
>and coolant
>as if I'd ever use anything but Toyota SLLCâ„¢

Those short shorts look really tight

I mean, we'll absolutely use/order whatever filter the customer wants, but most of the time they just want the most basic shit anyways.

But we do have synthetic and blends and shit. Some people like to treat their vehicles nice.

Are you too intelligent for oil?

Valvoline employee here.
They're ok. They're fine in the sense that you cant really fuck up an oil filter. All it is is a particulate filter coiled up in a canister, designed for whatever application.
If you're really that curious, chop one up and compare it to another filter.
Currently there's a recall on vo-105s because if they're kept in freezing conditions for more than 12 hours without the engine running they seep oil from the gasket.

I took my Xterra to a jiffy lube while I was out on a huge roadtrip just because I needed fresh oil.

I changed the oil yesterday and of course the drain bolt is raped onto the pan. I also realize the oil filter they installed is probably half the size of the one I bought from the parts store.

>I also realize the oil filter they installed is probably half the size of the one I bought from the parts store.
The size doesnt really matter. The important part is the gasket and thread being the same size.
Otherwise people would be making claims left and right about losing their engines to oil starvation, and the lube company would be forced to pay for it.

>The size doesnt really matter
It affects flow, delta-P and contaminant capacity

Duuuuuuude T6 is my jam!

I use it in all of my bikes and my Diesel VW.

They are quite tight.

Unlike her vagoo.

Yeah, I'm gonna say that this thing was probably good for about 1000 miles worth of wear.

Fucking crap.

I see, from what i can gather on them they're generally decent, lower middle ground. Better than the fram I used on my old car at least.
I'll keep an eye on those 105s though, it doesnt get freezing here very often but i'd rather not risk such a thing anyway.
come june/july i'll be changing my oil again and doing it myself since it isn't ass cold
I've seen a few of the higher end mobile 1 filters cut open, they seem to be some of the better ones. Not sure about the oil itself.

Had to hit a Jiffy Luwd out in Seattle during a road trip and they deflated all my tires!

Biggo van all loaded down with gear and they deflated my tires from 60psi to 32psi. They said they couldn't find the PSI rating in the door jam and shop default is 32psi. Tires visibly look flat and they wouldn't refill them for 'Legal Reasons'. I didn't even ask them to touch my tires! Shit was like a bad dream.

>Tires visibly look flat and they wouldn't refill them for 'Legal Reasons'.
most every shop i know lets anyone off the street fill their tires. some shops want a charge for it, but others its free as long as the mechanic isnt doing anything at that time
what the fuck man

Hory shet them thighs

she does porn btw user you can have a proper fap session if u want

Do you or others you know of spray paint on the drain plug and filter, after tightening? I get tons of vehicles with these Napa pro motive filters and they are all marked with like gray spray paint.

You can't just say that and not give us some sauce.

oil is oil, no matter brand i use royal purple but use valvoline high millage on my other car cant tell the difference between then only color "purple vs light brown

I'd raid her tomb

>2017
>Not buying rotella t6

More like Womb Raider amirite bruh.

>Womb Raider

don't use high mileage oil until you notice changes in your oil consumption. it will swell the seals

this guy knows whats up

We do that at Mr.Lube. It's to make sure the customer didn't tamper it, but have the time we get bored and spray the shit out of stuff. Occasionally at my store we'd do stuff likes sand the rust of people frames and cover them in tamper seal. Or completely change the fluid in people's diffs, trans, etc when they ask for a level check or top up.

Fun Fact: You can actually use diesel fuel in place of your standard oil. It's cheaper and stays clean longer.

I'm pretty sure that only applies to furnaces.

Just get normal oil and put half of one of these in your oil every other change. This shit is amazing.

>10W in Scandinavia
Bought 4L 0W-40 Castrol Edge for just $2 more than Biltemas 0W-40

Pic is what I've ran for years in my truck.

>no not a full bottle of break in oil, about 1/8th a bottle per oil change, shits got high ppm of zinc and phosphorus

As a child I had such a taste for Valvoline products. Loved the race car liveries, "yeah only going to buy Valvoline when I'm an adult". Now as an adult, "yeah nah, just the cheapest oil whatever for me".

It's like $15 for 5 quarts at walmart for conventional, my dad's ran Valvoline for as long as I can remember and never had oil related issues, so I've stuck with it.

...

That shit started to clogg up. Il never buy that shit again.

...

...

OP doesn't have any idea what it's like to be cucked.

It's like you have a choice between going non-synthetic and having your apex seals commit sudoku, going normal synthetic and watching it happen in real-time, or buying Idemitsu and know your engine is killing itself slowly and agonizingly, but is still in better shape than would be otherwise.

I'm more worried that in sticking to the recommended interval that was specified for conventional and using nice oil and filters, I'm flushing money down the drain. Pretty sure it's treating the car well, but might be a waste of money.

Makes me wanna buy Gulf oil.

I always buy the biltema 5w-40 for 279kr, change every 10k km, never had a problem. I always buy mahle filter though.

Just did the first oil change for my camaro yesterday.
Did you know walmart has 5qt jugs for $26? I paid 36 at autozone.

>can't fuck up an oil filter

That's fucking rich.

>it wasn't an anal flick called Bum Raider: The Last Penetration

>They said they couldn't find the PSI rating in the door jam
The tire pressure is stamped on each tire along with its size and model and maker. How do they not know that?

>uses max inflation of the tire and not what the car actually calls for

That's straight FUCKED.

How the fuck does a shop know that large trucks and vans use load range C or even D tires, and they take a fuck-ton of pressure! Hell, some duallys take LR E tires, and they often call for 80 psi!

>Too

>How do they not know that?
They're probably used to spoon feeding. So they are unable to even look up things or do real work. It's very liberal of them.

German here:
Wich oil should i buy for my 1KR-FE?
Wich filter is the best?

Ask your wife to save some of Ahmed's cum for you

As an FE is a bad assed Ford motor. Just use Motorcraft FL1A filters and 10W30.

Which one do you have? 330? 390? 427? 428?

This makes me regret buying Castrol.

Changing oil on a Scion tC today.

Oops! It looks like you accidentally bought STP!

Actualy it is a Daihatsu/Toyota engine:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_KR_engine

It has 61 ci displacement.

>inb4 poorfag
I am a student...

It's not my car :^)

>I didn't even ask them to touch my tires!
Many states have a mandate that all repair shops set tire pressure

That's the max pressure for the tire, not the correct pressure for the vehicle

>not inflating your tires to 40-42 psi for maximum performance

AutoZone and other shops like that have combo deals that save a ton of money. You can get full synthetic with a decent filter for not much more than $30

>Did you know walmart has 5qt jugs for $26? I paid 36 at autozone.
walmart.com also gets pennzoil platinum ULTRA full synthetic 5 quart jugs. That's how I get my ULTRA type. Shipping is free to my closest walmart retail store. I just pick it up at the store along with the Fram ultra oil filter. The ultra filter has metal mesh that even goes in between the pleats in order to prevent deformation or blow holes that happen to other brands of filters that don't use metal in the pleats.

>Fram

actually it's sort of lean

Purolator filters had been suffering from getting holes in them.

Ten years ago, Fram used chinese filter assembly and that ruined Fram's reputation. They moved final assembly for most of the filters back to the USA and the quality went back up. However, they still suffer from chinese counterfeiting. The chinese factories still make counterfeit filters and even counterfeit the boxes and labeling for the filters. They then use the China Most Favored Nation trading status to push the filters into the distribution system.

you dont need such thick oil, it just takes more power to use. thinner oil frees up hp

>apex seals commit sudoku
Wut?

>synthetic is the best
