ETCG is the only quality shit, but he gets literally no attention. Why?

Go be asspained elsewhere Eric

Opinions

Go away

I just took a look at his channel (apparently I've watched other videos of his) and from the looks of it he just makes super specific videos. Like, how many people are really looking for info on removing the front bumper skin from a 97 Acura?

Because he became a shill for sponsored content.

Because he doesn't allow anyone to have a different opinion from his.

Because many times he has shown to be a hack.

Me and many others for sure have either stopped watching him and/or unsubbed due to those points.

How's your YouTube channel going anons?

not to bad

I watch some of Eri'cs stuff, particularly the Fairmont project.
Eric shows almost everything, and is actually teaching as he does it. Most people don't want to learn, they just "want to like cars"

Surprisingly well, actually.

i love Eric but the lighting in many of his videos are shit. seems like he's fixed it

i like the hack-mechanic approach to fixing things but i check out videos from chris, eric and THE SCOTTY KILMER CHANNEL so i can choose the best approach

People want to be entertained, not educated. If Eric yelled with a retarded accent and blew something up or destroyed an expensive tool every other episode, people would watch him. But he actually knows what he's doing and delivers valuable information in an understandable way, so he has a niche audience of people who actually want to learn.

Same as it's always been

You look like you're doing pretty good user.

Growth is always good.

No uploads lately?

>Growth is always good.
Yeah, it's kind of nice. It looks like my car related videos do the best followed by my weed related videos, so maybe this year I'll focus on that.

Car videos are hard when I have something under warranty that doesn't require me to do any work on though.

>You look like you're doing pretty good user

I'm pretty sure 95% of it came from the time I posted my channel on Veeky Forums.

Because he makes very detailed, very specific, and more often than not, long videos. How many views does a1auto get? About the same.

Decent I suppose.

wew lad I hope to be at that point within a year

no new videos for awhile will do this

ETCG videos are slow and depressing. Expect his final video will just show a knocked over stool and his feet swinging in the breeze in front of some rusty early 1990s import.

Eh, it's not as exciting as it sounds. 3000ish subscribers sounds awesome to normies but unless your shit's constantly in people's recommended lists and on the front page, youtube is tough.

Are you doing something clever with tags and thumbnails to attract natural traffic? I want to get viewers organically but I don't want to be one of those click bait fucks.

I'm willing to play the game if it doesn't make my content seem cheap or fake though.

Literally nothing, a few of my videos were featured on a website early on but since then I just have steady views trickling in. 500-1000 come in whenever i upload a new video, but really you gotta make those front pages or get shared on social media. Otherwise you're at the mercy of YouTube algorithms.

I don't watch any of these videos as I assign a high value to my spare time and most of the cringelordy hosts are kids I wouldn't have given the time of day in HS.
I'll watch the smoking tire every now and then. Matt Farah seems dece. Plan on watching grand tour eventually. I know a lot about cars already.

He doesn't know how to manipulate the algorithm.

Post some of his good videos then
