Yeah, having to deal with either Kunagi's or Senna's death is pretty low blow, especially with the way they handled Kunagi's death in Senna's route, it was just too sudden, and poorly handled, Rouga's childhood friend and fiance dying out of the blue like that, just so that the plot can progress? Ah come on..

At least you can do a SpoilerAL playthrough of the game to keep them both alive, which is pretty fun in of itself, as you can play both of the fun parts of their routes at the same time.

Those examples go without saying, however I was thinking even beyond that, needing to allow Sparn to rape an elf so he can join your party so he can fight with Rouga's best friend so Rouga's best friend can kick him out for being a dick and I think one character requires you to make Dougi (?) turn into a vampire, then allow him to die or the biker guy and the mother in the second phase of the game.

You can get Kaguya without making Daigo a devil, but you won't be able to clear her. And she'll kill him if he becomes a devil either way even if you managed to recruit her without making him one.

Why is it that Rance is able to get a crew of characters that won't back stab each other like this? Maybe it's just me, but having to deal with in-fighting like this isn't fun.

Hopefully it's good. I haven't had the best experience in the last pure VNs I've read or partially read through.

Generally people follow Rance because they see something in him, or they have similar goals. Otherwise he helps them out one way or another and gains their trust/loyalty ( isn't actually far off the point). So most of his crew never has a reason to backstab him in the first place.

Plus his allies are usually good people, one thing I've always liked about the series is that he is a huge douche but his friends are mostly really noble people.
