Ok, I'm not in a hurry.

>Jizz immediately as the sight of it enters my peripheral
>Stop the car to clean my pants again

gonna be late for work

oh cool someone has the new civic

tfw want a type r but i know dealers are gonna charge ass rape prices if it's even possible to find one

Punches you on the throat

NIGGER

I just want a light RWD Honda. One with literally 130 horsepower would make me happy. fuck me right?

Some kid and his friend pulled up to me in one of these yesterday with their windows half way down of course blasting music. They of course revved the shit as loud as they could and dropped the clutch when the light turned green. Looked like a bunch of rich college kid fags

Why does it look so big?
I though it was supposed to be a hatchback yet it looks like a slammed SUV?Crossover.

looks can be deceiving grandpa let the kids have fun

ALIEN INVASION!

S660

Ok.

surely Trump will make imports great again

>SI has been on sale for a week
>STILL no driving impressions
>literally NONE

he said 130 not 63

at the end of day, it is Civic.
not suprised

If it were to be exported it would have a Turbo 1 litre

It's not out yet you asswipe.

May 13th was a bullshit marketing launch. Si sedans are arriving first week of June, coupes first week of July. Si media drive is may 24th with an NDA till June 6th. Yeah it's bullshit. Honda knows it's slow and have fucked the only two redeemable features it had going for it. That being the K series motor being replaced by base model trash, and the new Civic's shifter is considered the worst Honda manual ever made.

why not one with 240hp

The regular Civic with a Turbo and CVT is faster than the old Si

Makes no torque and burns oil like a rotary

Who needs torque when you can rev to 9k

Isn't the 6mt in the Si supposed to be ""short throw"" compared to the regular civic 6mt?

>burns oil like a rotary
half as much at most on a high mileage motor you fucking memer

>think huh neat and go about my day

Someone who actually needs to drive places in traffic every day

uh that's not how it works retard

Who needs to rev to 9k rpm when you have torque?

>T. assmad Diesel driver

1-5k has all the power you will ever need for daily driving

If you've actually driven an S2000 you'd know that's wrong

so im about to buy a 2017 golf R. should i rather wait for this to come out and try it ? It cant be better than a golf R r-right ?

golf R is better

>golf
how does it feel to literally own the same car as 30% of the driving population of the western world?

I dd one.

A Golf is an excellent girls car, sweety :)

You did one what?

Type R is better

>Volkswagen
Jesus christ its fucking 2017 not 1960

>Bloated
>5 Doors

Yuck.

g-guys please stop... 300 HP AWD must be better than 300 FWD and the golf is highly tuneable.

...

I love the golf r, but for the price they charge you you can get something flashier (all golfs look the same desu)

Have you looked into the scirocco r for instance?

Are you like notamiata and skipped school for an entire year to save up and sperge out your entire savings on an S2000?

i dont like the rear end of the scirocco and 42k Euro for a fully loaded 2017 Golf R doesnt seem to bad. How much would be a fully loaded Type R ?

>Type R
That's the only performance badge you will ever need. Type R's have always delivered.

youtube.com/watch?v=DH1iE817gB4

Funny how this implies that having a CVT and generic econobox engine that makes it accelerate faster means it's better. The new Si is literally the base car with a tune and that's what makes it sad.

Not confirmed. Si has a different part # for only the shift cable and shift assembly (unconfirmed if this is unique or borrowed from another Honda). A few reviewers from the NYIAS have been quoted as saying it feels exactly the same as the base car a few feet away.

Rear looks THICC

But yeah, type r is also a good choice in the category. Just think it looks too rice

You're wrong though, the Si uses suspension parts from the Type R

>golf R
why? you have a lot of options at that price range, why get a fucking golf, because auto rags have been shilling them?

okey lets see. I want a hot hatch:

>focus RS - shit daily driver
>Audi rs3/s4 - to expensive / literally a golf
>merc A45 amg - to expensive
>honda type R - 300 ps FWD = ends in crash in wet weather

so golf R seems like the only choice

Don't listen to this guy

>Volkswagen

The only part borrowed from the Type R are the front upper control arms. The Si does have adaptive dampers, but no one has any idea if it even does anything of merit.

Literally all cars you listed are better
I'd get a used m3 for that money

Golf R is definitely better

>haldex

Civic Type R is FWD

>hot hatch
it's a 4 door car. literally a sedan with a flattened ass, or a short wagon.

just get a wrx sti, faggot.

The way I look at it, the Golf R is better looking, and AWD will probably give faster 0 - 60 and better traction on frozen/wet roads.

But the Type R has nip reliability as opposed to vag meme reliability, is lighter, and overall faster and sportier by any metric outside of 0 - 60.

Personally I'd just go for a Fiat 500 Abarth and keep the savings for tony's repairs.

>Poweful front wheel drive cars are especially dangerous to drive in the rain

What

the rs btfos both options

>Golf R

Nice but boring. Looks the same as a base Golf with a tiny little R badge on it. Any self respecting boy racer would take the Type R or Focus RS.

>dat rear end

now that's a hatch I would like to drive

>get called out
>immediately send goalposts flying and sperg harder

Good job retard

I'll slow down so I don't have to look at it's uggly ass any longer than needed.

eh....

>Type R's have always delivered
*blocks your path*

waiting for that to happen

still a bit worst than Honda K engines, ive heard.

>undertakes you

I thought child labor was illegal.

>*teleports behind u*
oh wait

i tried

...

>Honda revives the S2000 in 2020
>it's a CVT

>m-muh S2000 is totally a good daily driver! Honestly guise! It's not like I've never driven anything else

Plenty of people daily drive an S2000.
>It's not like I've never driven anything else
I see you can't think of anything bad to say about the car.

>civic type buru sti

Other than the fact that it's a torques shitbox? Nah

Have fun redlining just to over take a minivan

>Have fun redlining

Thanks man, I will.

>Have fun redlining just to over take a minivan
I have lots of fun in my car.

Why are you so hostile?

Why didn't Honda take their old 2.4l engine from the 2015 civic si and put a turbo on it?

If the emissions are an issue why didn't Honda take their more powerful 2.0l engine and put a turbo on it?

Why did they take the shitty 1.5l Honda fit engine and put a turbo on it?

memes

>FWD = ends in crash in wet weather
Where do you retards get this shit?

Because fuel economy and emissions

The 1.5l can still easily be tuned to makes tons of power

Not really. Honda already made their 2.0l which would generate way more power

The dinky 1.5l was a joke on the regular civics

A civic ex comes with the 1.4l with a turbo making 190hp. This new engine is only 100cc bigger for a little extra power.

>tuning

This car is brand new you aren't gonna void your warranty by fucking with the ecu

>N-nice Panamera bro

And tons of more emissions, old engine

When did they have a turbo 1.4l? Must be a euro thing or something

user, the """regular""" civics use a NA 2.0l, it's the EX-T and up that use the 1.5l turbo.

Though I agree that imo they should've just grabbed the 2.0 from the base civic and thrown a turbo on it.

>When did they have a turbo 1.4l?
The regular civics use the 1.4 liter Honda fit engine and they jumped the power and torque with a turbo

>it's the EX-T and up that use the 1.5l turbo.
Yes I said that

The civic si uses a 1.5l with a turbo. Same as the regular civic ex

The EX uses the NA 2.0l, it's only EX-T and up that use the 1.5l.

I see. I thought only the lx came with the 2.0 and the ex had the turbo 1.5

Wtf is that ugly hunk of shit.

For some retarded reason they have both EX and EX-T trims now. imo they had it right with DX < LX < EX

>mfw a base lx with a tune ends up making more power than an si after a tune

how is the focus a bad DD? I haven't talked to to many people about the focus specifically, but I've heard the fiesta is a really good DD and they're basically the same

Not the Focus, the Focus RS. The ride is supposedly extremely punishing even by "sporty" standards.
