nth for summoners actually pretty hard class that requires careful micromanagement of cat, three different anicancels, maintaining ivy and photo stacks, being always behind target, F proccing, constant countering and if you don't do this as summoner you should switch to easier class like fire bm or lightning sin or whatever you fucking low dps low test shitter

Spin is a deflect (or +Defense skill) technically, not a Block/Counter, same for BD (Both of which gain nothing offensively by using them)

Stealth gives +30% crit dmg, counter gives nothing. Dark Build has no real rotation under stealth, so no bonus.

Violent blade for BM, Elbow Smash is also still a Counter, and even normal counters give them access to Iron Shoulder.

But that's just like an after condition because its on counter, not on use, like Sin's stealth after counter.

Iron Shoulder cannot be used unless you successfully counter an attack. Are you getting it mixed up with Avenging Fist?

How do I know what soul shields I'm suposed to get? If I'm playing BM I should just get straight up crits and piercing, right?

why do you want to do that

Crit and accuracy are most important in pve. Fuse all your shields with crit unless you're lacking accuracy a lot. Piercing is more for pvp and you get enough for pve through accessories.

BT > MSP > Ebondrake/Tomb > Asura/Be Ido > Yeti/Northern Crit > Silverfrost Valor is probably the normal progression (Best > Worst) Crit/Accuracy rolls are what you want to look for on specific pieces.
