Petite mages take huge cock.

PYROMANCY FUCKING SUCKS

Someone link me a list that shows all the A+ scaling STR weapons.

Going to just get this DLC over with so I can bench this awful, awful game.

Where do i fight the draggo, already fought gael

...

Check the elevator shortcut before spear fight.

how long until mugenmonkey updates with all the dlc items? i wanna test out the havels ring +3 and shit

jump down

Phases are cancer. Boss fights should take about six or seven minutes tops, struggling with a fifteen minute boss is just painful.

how do I tell what NG I'm on? haven't played this character in a while and can't remember

>15 minute wait for Church Spear
>Three Suns
>All spamming Spells while the host just runs away
The Painting Gaurdians were instagibbed.
What's the point of even playing if you get three people to do it for you?

Where do I find _________fun in Dark Soul 3?

Well like I said, Vordt's Hammer is a lot stronger now. It's early in the game, too.
To get it over with as fast as possible, just kill Freide for the other entry point.
For the last time, you're still going to hate every fucking minute of it and I have no doubt you'll come back here angrily posting in all caps over how terrible every encounter is and how lame the boss fights are and how anime bullshit the weapons are.

>already faster to find a darkmoon summon than it is to find a spear summon

it was nice while it lasted I guess

Lobos already beat Midir and Demon Prince on NG+7. Whats your excuse?

ah the fog wall is gone now

I did. Until I searched it all, then I had to believe it.
There is one (1) Ringed Knight for some reason, and an invasion.
Shouldn't have shown us the skyline with Anor Londo right before dumping us into the sparsest area in all of the Soulsborne games.

how are invasions in the new dlc? do the areas offer a lot of variety? is it easy for the host to run to boss fog walls? does the spear of the church fuck with the red orb invading?

For anyone wondering, the amounts of stamina you get with the RoF+3 at each level are...

...
24: 134
25: 136 (+2)
26: 140 (+4)
...
37: 170
38: 172 (+2)
39: 175 (+3)
40: 179 (+4)

...that's what I got. If nayone wants to fill in those blanks, do so by all means. I respecced down to 24 and started leveling upwards, so I'll eventually have more. Mugenmonkey had some wrong values for the +2 ring, so I may as well check it myself.

doesn't the ringed knight drop a slab or something?

>That feel when you just got a Greatshield + Straightswordfag and rekt him with Hunter's Charm + buffed Lothric War Banner

What's the fun of PvP when your entire playstyle is block attack and then circle around to try and backstab.

Are you doing your part and stopping as many people as possible from beating the game?

I stopped coming here a month after DaS3 launch.
Came back during AoA, and left after I finished it
Came back again because TRC came out, and will likely go away again after I clear it. Typing in all caps and shitposting is just the only way to get attention in this general. I'll try Vordts, even though I'm looking for a 1h weapon.

The angel areas have it ain't me playing on repeat while you're showered with embers.

they unironically justify seed

What do you get from this anyway?

I'm a stupidly high SL and when I tried being a spear I was summoned in and killed the same guy 3 times and felt bad for him.

thats why I play offline

Which demon makes the lasers again?

Oh shit, I already entered without grabbing the covenant item over there. Can I still get it?

What were your expectations for TRC and did it live up to any of them?

Dreg Heap: expected a greatest hits of all the most memorable levels/enemies from all the previous games even (not) demons souls stuff instead of one thing from each game

Ringed City: Expected more city and less swamp

Alright, hol up, hol up.

Does Armor/Absorption actually do something now?

I was trying out a new fashion set that consists of a lot of heavy armor and decided to try out +3 Steel Protection instead of Prisoner's chain.

Gael was fucking tickling me when I was being summoned for him, and earlier today he hit me for like 60% of my HP when I was using lighter armor and the chain.

What gives?

So, I just found out that Ledo and Moaning Knight can invade you while you're unembered. You also can't ember while they're still alive. I don't know if that's common knowledge or not.
I had no expectations at all and thought Dreg Heap was tolerable at best but the city itself was pretty neat.

That's the altar. Divine spear fragment is the 30 offerings reward.

I expected it to be Londor.

How does that thing compare to the great club?

Gael's third phase keeps reking my fucking face in, I wouldn't be so mad if they just didn't do the whole "lol let's just bloat everything with health" bullshit.

What is the point of this piece of shit? I was so excited to see dark magic users get something besides the power pole for a staff which has A/C scaling. The Murky Longstaff has A/E in scaling. Both staves' skills buff by about the same amount but Izalith STILL beats it out. What purpose did it have, am I missing something? At least we got a real dark orb though..at this point I just want them to patch the Dark Hand to be a catalyst for all dark magic and have viable stats. That's all I ask.

>chain
there's your problem

>Defeat a Host who has 3 friends summoned
>Receive 3 Spear Ornaments

I mean that's great but shouldn't it be four, if it was 1 Host + 3 Phantoms?

I went in with no real expectations, beyond knowing what to expect from the new weapons. Had a lot of fun and was especially impressed with the bossfights.

Great DLC, though after playing it I still feel burnt out of souls games, but I felt that way before it released since I've played DS3 almost exclusively for a few months now.

And Dark Souls does not feature alzheimers.
Look, it's just a theory that ties a bunch of in-universe and meta stuff together in a plausible way, I probably should have expected to have to autistically defend it, but I'm not really that bothered anymore.

it's always done something, it's just that the absorption bonuses from rings and shit get watered down in pvp or something

Anyone have a fun dex/int build?

After AoA i didn't expect much. TRC is just more of the same.
I expected closure to the series, and we didn't really get that. I'm thankful it wasn't filled to the brim with nostalgia bating like the main game and I like the new weapons. But that's about it. I'm happy that it's done so I can recover from souls fatigue while we wait for From to make a new game similar to BB or Dark Souls 1.

>Ringed City
>Creepy maggot dude telling me to get the dark party started
>Get past all the ghost archers
>Find some weird bug man dude wanting me to do the same
>Ends his conversation with "And then the feast begins"
>mfw

While I'm open to the suggestion I'm not quite picking up what they're putting down

It might help if they weren't creepy motherfuckers

Best boss arena.

I figured I'd get a dlc with replay value and instead I got tedium. And a huge portion of the verticality meme was absolutely useless. They position areas next to each other, elevate one, then put some stairs, elevator, or ladder there. Absolutely pointless. FROM got lucky with Dark Souls 1.

Yo, spearfags, what sorta stats do spears need? And what rings are the most useful (if there's any specific ones, anyway)? Lapp's armour and the RKspear apparently being great have made me want to give a spear/lance/pike run a try.

Is it really that big of a deal? As far as I was aware it just lowered absorption, which ties into my original question.

I remember seeing some posts and videos around launch showing that absorption did pretty much nothing, all that mattered was you at least wore armor.

Haven't tried it yet, but I think it might have the same use the Izalith Staff has for early game.
Smack people in the face with it for ridiculous damage.

So the swamp area is there to make it clear that the deep and the dark are the same shit right?

I remember bug imagery being a big thing with the deep.

>Expected more city and less swamp

This, what the fuck?

From one swamp to another fucking swamp

The base game already has two fucking swamps WHY did we need two more

And Bloodborne, apparently.
How is that general still alive, by the way?

Gael's greatsword is pretty fun I guess

>Shortsword gets S scaling with lightning and crystal

For what purpose? That's fucking silly.

This I don't know about later levels of steel prot, nor do I know the actual numbers, so this is just an example, but say steel prot in PvE gave you 15%, in PvP it'd give you something insanely less, like 3% or some shit.

I feel like an idiot for slabbing the ringed knight straight sword. whats a better dlc weapon for quality?

So, is that ruined place on the right side Lordran or Drangleic?

Yeah, but why not just put the slab in one of the ruined areas, or on a corpse? A chest, even, or an upturned Mimic half-buried in the desert at the end of time as one last fuck you? No point in making you earn it in a fight with a mid-level enemy when the final boss of the whole series is literally 30 feet away.

is gael and midir supposed to have that much health and take that little damage at ng+7?

is it possible to get that female invader's clothes?

That leap at 5 seconds looks longer than fucking the one you get with Artorias's sword

Upgraded spear summoning item, they stay longer, do more damage and give you perseverance after casting, I had 66 absorption lol.

Why the fuck do the Ringed Knight weapons have E scaling INT/FAI?

I cant use them in my pyro quality build

Yes, NG+7 isn't balanced to be fair in that way, everything gets a bit out of control in terms of scaling.

Your hitbox goes lower, it's prefect for hitbox porn, kind of like atacking with the Farron UGS

I really cba to repost entire thing even after better formatting, here. .

Also Quick question should I got with Heavy Barbed Sword with Carthus Rouge for 30 + WhateverCarthus Rouge adds for bleed or Infuse Barbed Sword with Bleed for 57? Bleed. I need a weapon to kill that champion doggo.

both

so is it worth making a strength build with great mace now?

Could anyone give me an assist on Sister Friede?
Just wanna get through this shit and play the new dlc.

What, you don't like feasts?

God I love the Ringed Knight Armor.

Something I always do in Souls is try to make my character look "faceless" like all the enemies do that makes them look like empty, possessed suits of armor.

Having a big fucking hole in the chest helps with that look.

When do you stop playing these games? I keep getting on to do all boss clears and I'm kind of bored but at the same time I feel drawn to doing one more every day. I did two clears just today.

I'm amazed you got 30 already. Did you have to farm for any of those?

every single armor piece gives the same amount of flat defense as every other piece which goes in the same slot, so you want to not have any exposure

lighter armor typically has better abs/weight ratios, but heavy armor recently was made lighter and poise has been a thing for a while

I don't think it was that much lower, iirc it was halved. Same went for % damage reduction bonuses from things like body buffs; sacred oath in PvP is basically like deep protection in PvE, but with a little more stamina regen.

What does the first rank covenant item do?

anyone got any tactics for dealing with the ringed knights?

not that user but I tried this three times when I was attempting to find midir blind

It doesn't lower absorption, it also multiplies damage for whatever reason

In the distance on the right is Anor Londo pretty sure since it's within spitting distance of Lothric

I was under the impression Drangleic was quite far from Lordran/Anor Londo

yeah but the base game +ashes doesn't have this issue, also the demon was pretty chill too
am i to assume its impossible to do in a timely manner without summons?

Fully charged UGS poke r2 will knock them down and you'll get them in a perma knockdown cycle if you keep charging one while they're getting up.

I'll probably fuck it up since I haven't fought her since release, but I'll give ya a try if you're desperate and okay with possibly losing an ember.

let's do it man

There is spires that look exactly like sword of avowal on some buildings.
Damn thing probably was a londor, though looks morle like oolacile and not anor londo, except maybe for that spiral staircase above abyss part .

I wasn't a fan of the way the creepy bug man sounded when he said it

Parry
Charge R2
Just avoid the spear knights while they are buffed, their timings were made to bait your early rolls.

Get the veil from beside the sunken church in the swamp or use the Desert Witch hood to complete the look.

They have tons of health because they wanted the fights to be drawn out with phases without multiple healthbars, with the exception of demons where they sort of use the multiple healthbar thing again.

>After AoA i didn't expect much. TRC is just more of the same.
sad to hear

>dark magic
>early game
I really wish it just scaled more than it does, or at least make it scale with Luck instead and without a softcap except for maybe one at 60.

Black Flame with Parting Flame can stunlock them until you run out of stamina or FP, but they usually die before either happen

I'd have had much less of a problem with it if he hadn't been peering around a corner looking all freaky while saying it.

Reminder that the Demon Prince boss arena is actually Firelink Shrine from DS1
Pic unrelated

The one in the front. You want to kill the one on the right that doesn't immediately ember when you drop in.

>See a summon sign
>Summoning failed.
>see 20 more summoning signs
>They all fail.

For what purpose?
Also anyone wanna co-op nameless king sl80 NG1?

I'm only just into the Ringed City portion of the game but it sounds like the City existed prior to Dark Souls 1 while Gwyn was still out and about

If that was you, bummer on that. Set up a password and I'll put down my sign again if you want.

I swear to fucking Kaathe. This is getting more tedious than fun.
