Purchased new Chev Malibu from dealer in November 2015. It's now at approx 7100 total miles. I suppose that means its 3 year new car warranty is mostly wasted due to the car being untested, but that's what retired life is like. It's mostly a comfortable roomy grocery getter. At least I'll pass the 10,000 miles mark by the time the car is 3 years old.
I fly on trips instead of drive. If the west coast had an "Amtrak personal car transport" system where I could load my car onto a train and ride the train to a destination, I'd do that instead of hiring a rental car. It might even be the best way to travel. Ship the car to the holiday spot and drive back home visiting all the interesting spots on the way back home.
2006 Mazda 3 with with about 320K km. I share the car with my brother , but It's mostly his because I got motorcycle
