Why doesn't China sell it's card here?

Why doesn't China sell it's card here?

Because a car called the Dongfeng Hyonchong Excelsior Deluxe wouldn't sell well in 2017 America.

They can and they are in 2018 I believe
But not that model
If the QC is right, they might not be bad cars

If only you could sell it under another name.

>those wheels
wtf

EPA and safety regulations from what I've read in the past.

Because they're waiting for American brands to go under and then buy them.

The Chinese almost bought Hummer. It's just a matter of time before they're running Dodge, Ford, and Chevy.

Because the Chinese have no concept of sympathy or the human condition

You can already buy cheap Chinese style knockoffs from Ford/GM

Then again Americans buy cars called Ford Silverado Longhorn Denali King Ranch. Equally cheesy, only less Chinese.

>guy gets hit
>'oh well he still looks intac--'
>truck fucking rolls over on top of him like a big 'go fuck yourself' from the universe
>'oh.'
Poor bastard.

Because that would be overt acts of terror on the populace and dead people don't pay taxes.
>tfw the wheels fall off your chingchong dragonroll noodlecar honghorse twi en gou deluxe and the sparks ignite the rice paper fuel tank
>tfw you become a pretty lantern, skidding along at 40 mph
>tfw your face has melted off in the gutter oil fire that envelops your "automobile"

you mean dumb bastard that didn't even bother looking for traffic.

chinks are so conceited that they don't give a fuck about absolutely anyone around them.

But somehow GM's ignition locks are fine.

There's no terrorism like domestic terrorism, user. At least that's the result of healthy, God-fearing capitalism and not slanty-eyed heathen commie fuckery.

I don't like how that mother fucker is grinning at me with those teeth

>gets upset about stuff like that even though that's Veeky Forums in a nutshell
>my sides have been obliterated from irony

Asian genocide when?

right now

*shoots gookmoot in the head*

There's a big difference between some shitposters on a Mongolian fingerpainting forum, and a public road where you need to coexist with other people.

t. chang

i guess you could say, it is DHED on arrival.

They won't pass Euro NCAP or or US FMVSS safety standards. If they can stop bursting into flames then things change.

Next comes environmental hurdles and any copyright/patent issues.

Lastly the cars have to be appealing to a US market, and when China's domestic cars have no traction in their home country that's a bad sign. Most people in China only buy Chinese cars if they can't afford an import.

The baseline for new production USDM cars is the Mitsubishi Mirage, one of my most hated cars as well. If a China import can beat out a Mirage then they might have a chance.

jesus fuck

Asian drivers; no survivors.

Copyright and trademark laws. China reverse engineers and resells ALL THE THINGS

They don't pass any kind of american emissions control, or safety standards.

>They won't pass Euro NCAP

How bad can they be?

Americans would not buy Chinese cars if they were the last cars on Earth but they'll fucking eat up shitty surplus cosmoline soaked Chinese SKS/Mosin Nagants like candy and pay hundreds more than the things are really worth. It's weird.

Even if they meet the required safety/emissions standards and don't infringe on any patents or whatever, they'd still have an extremely hard time penetrating the market because they're an unknown brand from a country with a reputation for poor build quality.
Just waiting for an opportunity to buy out an existing western manufacturer would be easier.

This

>Why doesn't China sell it's card here?

Chinese companies have a long reputation for cheating on qualification tests. Or they will submit the samples properly, but several months later change the production version to be what they originally wanted to do in the first place.

As an example, the chinese copied a GM Daewoo car and then renamed their copy the "Chery". Because the cars looked similar, the chinese auto manufacturer tried to fool the crash testing by substituting the GM-made car in place of their own car for the crash tests.

Who will own the site then faggot?

That would be like a chinese student in an american university. For the exam, he or she hires someone else to go take the exam if it is a large class where students can be sort of anonymous.

That's a thing that happens, stupid people pay others and give them copes of their identification to take exams for them. It's a growing trend and it so often fails hilariously because you have some preppy white kid paying an asian to take his test for him.

Hard to fuck up a such lump of steel and wood. And it's pretty easy to tell when it's unsafe to operate it since it's a simple yet cleverly engineered vessel of pressure... Every single detail of it is easily accessed. You can examine the action, the rifling, the tool marks and fit, even without firing a couple of rounds can have a good idea of how it's working.

A car in comparison is an ungodly clusterfuck of small yet interconnected mechanisms. Good luck finding out where did Chinks skimped out without taking it apart and subjecting it to some abuse and daily driving.

But they do

cool Audi

Carlos

Theres a reason only idiots and women buy " 'stangs"

>Why doesn't China sell it's cars here?
They are waiting for many 17 year patents to expire before they do so. Certainly, a lot of ancient patents expired long ago, but to sell in the western market with enough modern features, they need to get up to about year 2004. At that point, their copies of the physical protective roof pillars and unibody will be allowed. So the chinese roofs won't peel off the car even when getting hit by strong sideways forces like some of them do now.

The chinese already manufacture buses at multiple plants in the USA. So it's not like they aren't here already. But consumer car laws about defective or falsified safety are strong, so they need to have the republicans water down the consumer laws further for the sake of profits, muh jobs, and global competitiveness. Then there will be less to worry about from lawsuits.

Will the USA gov't allow the chinese method of product protection from lawsuits? Currently, when you buy a Ford, you really are buying it from the Ford company and can sue the company you bought it from as it has deep pockets. If you buy the chinese car, you would buy it from notGeely which is franchising from Geely corp the IP manager of the logo and advertising copyrights. Geely has small capital and assets. The IP ownership is with the original set of Geely investors. The notGeely2,notGeely3,...notGeely102 companies own and lease various buildings and heavy machinery and cooperate together to produce the cars. This shields the capital and assets from lawsuits.

This method was brought to light after various bankruptcies of "american" car companies that were owned by chinese investors. Foreign (usa) investors found out they owned none of the IP or even the machinery since those were owned by offshore chinese controlled corps and leased or licensed to the american car company. It's a sneaky way to capture foreign investment capital and trade them for chinese goods and services.
