It's also the only soure left for cheap 5.0 V8 engines. The foxbodies have been gutted completely for their engines now or are overpriced, I can't find any other 5.0 V8s for cheap except with the 1994-1995 Mustangs.

Definitely, but, the SN95 did bring us the 4.6 SOHC, in meh 2-valve and lovely DOHC 4-valve variants, which paved the way for the respectable 3-valve in my car and other early S197s, and eventually the glorious Coyote DOHC.

Not twin spark plugs, it'd be damn cool if the 3-valve had dual ignition, but that's not what I'm talking about. The early 3-valve 4.6 engines used a two piece spark plug that's notorious for snapping in two.

The retrostang is an infinitely better car than the Fox derived SN95. Better engine, and most importantly, a MUCH stiffer platform. The S197 almost makes the live axle behave like IRS.

the 4.6L 3v ones were pretty good, and unlike the mid retrostang of the mid to late 2000's you can swap in IRS for better handling.

I have a New Edge. It's a horrible quality car. Other than the body details and 40 more HP it's the same thing as an SN95. Including the East Germany tier interior which is probably the worst of any car I've driven.

There's a reason a 2004 GT is a $4000 car and a 2005 GT is closer to $8K.

I actually really like the look of the SN95, I just don't like the 4.6 version.

Part of the driving experience is not having the door panel fall off in your hand when you close the door. Or the brake lever pull out of the floorboards when you park. Or seats with headrests that don't reach your head.

1944-2004 Mustangs have some of the worst interiors for their time. I had a 1996 Miata before my New Edge and despite it being a cheaper, lighter car the interior bits felt much more solid.
