Not trying to start shit but I need some help.
I'm on horde and I don't know what guild to join. I'm not 60 yet and my gear is trash, but I want to try raiding eventually. I also want to have someone to talk to in the guild who isn't reddit as fuck, so I wanted to join salty dogs, I know it's ded but I don't mind when it's only about having a little group to talk to and ask for advice and shit.
My problem is though, are other guilds still gonna let me join their raid without me being in their guild? If so, where do I find those people?

What do you mean by "reddit as fuck"? Not talking shit, just curious. Most guilds actually feel a lot like Veeky Forums guilds, just less extremely young people. The "normie" guild thing is kind of overblown as the wave of normies from nost came and went already, it's not very normie to stick around for 7 months of MC.
Anyhow, SD is pretty chill, you're right. As far as guilds letting you raid with them, it would only really happen when a guild needs bodies or in pick up groups. Since MC is on farm for a lot of guilds, there are pugs all the time for MC/ony, you just have to be around when they're happening. Normally someone will inspect your gear, you'll get in a discord (or not), and that's that. Often they will have regular times this happens if it's the same group organizing, but there are spontaneous groups that happen as well.
It would probably be rare to be the lone dude not in the guild raiding with a guild due to loot issues and all that, but it happens sometimes. Just depends who you meet and get along with.
If you're deadset on staying with SD, then look into joining pug groups.

This has led to people with bad intentions to seek out /a/nime people for their own selfish motivations.

It used to be in the op, but that was months ago. Like the previous guy said, over time it's devolved into an excuse to post "lewd" cartoon porn shit or to talk shit to someone in their teenage guild anonymously.
As for pre-bis, there are loads of lists floating around, some better than others. Keep in mind it will depend on the patch the server is on.
Check the elysium class specific forums as well as the old nostalrius forums, those should have lists compiled (and argued about), most of the time they will even be stickied to the top of the forum.
Here is an old google doc that was made for /nosg/, but i'm not sure which patch it's meant for (some of the items are not available on elysium, for example).

Some classes can get most of their pre-bis from dire maul.
When looking at the forums, ignore any ranking gear indicated as that will take you too long to get and is usually for an unorthodox pve spec like ret.
