What is the proper way to handle slark? I am not saying he is OP. I just want to know how to effectively deal with him so he doesn't take off like a rocket.

I hate playing as a support with a slark in the game. It just so fucking aids. Dust doesn't work well. Sentries help but you need so many fucking sentries. Invis heroes in this game get away with a lot. They may not kill you but they sure break support wallets. Having to spam 100 GP item is just dumb sometimes. Gem is helpful but again, it can't be carried by a frail support.

What is the appropriate way to handle invis heroes and slark in particular?

1) Sentries

2) Keep track of his shadow blade timing. If he has amulet in his inventory and has been farming for a while, expect him to gank your support in the next 1-2 mins.

3) Stand around the hero you expect him to go after and counter the gank.

4) Respect the essence shift charges.

Btw what's your mmr?

Sentries with a lot of lockdown, and dont be a faggot buy ghost scepter

If you are a support, consider ghost scepter. It will help you buy time and your team may have the opportunity to counter when he gank you.

One of the big ones is to realize that if you are pounced at low levels you cannot run so do not click away and wait for the leash to break while he gets an extra 3 hits in with no repercussion. Smack him in the face and deal some damage back while you wait for leash to break.

Same thing with Riki. Supports start getting attacked and their instinct is to run which lets him backstab them over and over until they die or reach a tower. His early game damage is shit and you can just trade blows and come out on top.

As a support? the first thing you need to know is that slark it's only strong before using shadow danc and during shadow dance. What i mean with this, is that he will be confident unless you force him to ult. After his ult, he's just a scared fish. If you can survive the first dark pact and his ult, he's easy to deal with.
Slark without ult is kinda shit.
Also, get items to avoid getting killed by him. Ghost scepter, glimmer cape, euls, getting moree hp, solar crest, and others

Bonus points to HH since it's a hard counter to him.
Also, use the disables after he dark pacts. If he ults, then just try to run/avoid getting pounced.

If you dont have any kind of plan when, if, he jumps on you, then just don't go. If he lurks and lurks and lurks, he's gonna fall behind in farm, he's not gonna be hunting eeverytime. Check the minimap.
