Got myself a drawing tablet. It takes a bit of getting used to. Have my first attempt at anything with it, before I eventually give up with it and it gathers dust like my ukelele skills.

With this tool you can make your very own 3D Sonic levels with relative ease and, what's more, you don't need to know a lick of programming. If you have any interest in making a 3D Sonic level, I very much encourage that you give this a shot. You'd be surprised at what even just tinkering with the Terrain tools can yield. Good luck.

Is this what you're seeing?
When first opening the project the lighting may need to process the terrain. You should see a little loading bar in the bottom right telling you its progress. If not, the lighting might not be set to Auto Generate. If that's the case, head to Window, Lighting, Settings and turn it on.

If you feel that they are then you are free to change them. It's that easy.

There's a short readme in the download.

Personally I enjoy Advance 2 and Rush and Heroes but like others are say, mods. You could also play Sonic Worlds which is a pretty decent project. Control mapping is dumb though.

I'm afraid I don't follow. Which "whole thing" are you referring to? I mean, yes, how the game plays is very dependent on how Sonic himself behaves, but I'm guessing that's not what you're trying to get at.

Cream is the hardest character to unlock, but she makes the game one of the best and most fun Sonic games ever, honestly.

what's the physics if not how sonic moves and interacts with all the other things? you've made that in a specific way and I don't see how you could "just change it" without breaking everything else. I don't really feel like alpha testing your thing

Easiest way to trigger adventurefags is to say you prefer Heroes

She also appeared briefly in Shadow the Hedgehog but only as a quest objective for Amy. Cream's been in a lot of decent games barring ShtH. Even avoided being in 06 but appeared in Riders.

But I'm not here to troll people. I genuinely love Heroes and find it to be the most enjoyable Sonic game. Stings a little inside seeing how it's more forgotten than anything.

He didn't make the engine, he just provided a tool set to make your own Sonic stuff from it. You can change Sonic's physics, then make levels suited to those physics.

Well, first you change how Sonic behaves: run speed, jump height, turn radius, how much downward force slopes have on him, etc. Then you build the level around your customized physics. Yes, out-of-the-box, Sonic has specific physics values, but these can be easily changed. Pic related are only just some of the values that you have the freedom to control.
