I feel like it may be based in how American culture views queens (we DID fight a war to escape a monarchy, after all), that effects the two viewpoints on "Queen". When Americans tend to picture a queen, it's less "Queen Elizabeth" and more "Queen of Hearts".

Depends on your perception of Makoto. Sub sounds much more mature woman while angry, while Dub sounds like a young girl trying to act like an intimidating figure.
