Crash Thread

Spun my Civic ep3 when suddenly oversteer. Hit a chain fence and damaged my rear tail light.
LOL'ed because seconds after I pulled away from a huge fuck up of a fence, a cop rolled up the opposite direction and I fucking floored it. By the time they turned around on the narrow road, I was already deep inside the suburbia maze.

got rear ended in a 91 ford escort by some teenage girl texting and driving

cop yelled at her how it was the third time that month she'd done it lmao

That is the only time a car I've owned has ever made contact with another car

the most severe accident ive been in was in high school, i rear ended someone with my sentra

>oshit the car ahead of me is stopped
>slam on brakes
>no ABS
>i hit a stationery chevy aveo at about 15mph
>their bumper gets sheared off
>my car somehow only gets a small dent in the front cover
>i call my dad over (he was like 5min away)
>dad deals with the owner
>we pay for the damages to avoid reporting to insurance (i was 16 if i had a crash at that point my rates would have been crazy high)
>no police attention either

ive had a couple of minor crashes happen since then, but its all been people rear ending me, but not even fast enough to do damage to either one of our cars.

Lessons were learned, and I've yet to come close to pushing myself as hard as I did that night. And now I'm on the search for another RX, preferably in hatch form this time.

It felt far more understeery so I didn't push it anywhere close to as hard, plus I didn't lead.

It's not that I didn't know the road, I've driven on it about 5-6 times before. It's just in the fun of it all, I forgot how sharp that corner actually was, and not having high beams, I didn't see it before hand. The car isn't dead, despite how bad it looks. No new leaks at all, and the car still turns on to boot. The hood, fenders, and lights took all the damage in front, and the rear is just cosmetic. A fellow Veeky Forumstist that has a shop is taking it off my hands for cheap, and is going to make it his own project for a few years, then we'll work something out so I can buy it back after it's fixed up. Better deal than seeing it go off to a scrap yard I'd say.

Well you should still learn the road better, try to have a plan for how to take each corner rather than just hanging on tight and trying to make it.

Your lights excuse triggered me as I never drive with high beams on the touge.

At the toegay with my friend the other weekend, come out of the turn at about 90 km/h, find audi crossed looking at me, it was wet and i was having a little understeer so couldnt turn, decided to slam brakes luckly i had time to go down to maybe 20 km/h and then crash, now i need to replace bumper, whole front hood and headlight
