I think that walking animation speed up is something the engine does sometimes to "fix" a unit being too incohesive. I have seen it in the other warscape games

You can have monsters and you can have larger unit sizes across the board to compensate, instead we have total war skirmishes and monsters that do wreck tens of models with each swing but they all get up because CA had to impose a cap on max nr of models damaged since units are so fucking small.

That's not an excuse, you can have inexpensive units have 300 models and expensive ones have 200, instead we have inexpensive units have 160 and mid tier units 100, it's a complete downgrade compared to previous TW, so much for improvements to the engine.

Because of it we have Kholek smashing his massive hammer sending hundreds flying only to have killed 5 models with a swing.
