>What should I do with the armor/weapons I don't want/use?
Check if you can donate any at the hidden teahouse for daily/clan rewards. Otherwise preferably disassemble them. You can also sell them to Tome or donate to Danjo at the Teahouse if you need a bit of extra glory or cash. Later on you'll be keeping them for Soul Matching, but don't worry about that until you get to NG+.

>The blacksmith is expensive, should I be using it?
You don't need to. Throughout WotSamurai and WotStrong you will constantly be finding better gear and builds don't matter so much. Soul Matching is expensive and intended for late game. If you do find a weapon you really like, try reforging it's effects using spirit iron, it's the cheapest and easiest way to improve a weapon.

>Why do people keep mentioning "smithing texts"?
Bosses tend to drop pieces of their armor and weapons when you defeat them. Very rarely they will drop a smithing text which allows you to forge their armor/weapon.

>Which clan should I join? (clan unlocked through progression)
Whichever one has a bonus that you think will benefit your build the most.

Yasuke did nothing wrong

nth for STOP DYING TO UMIBOZU

You ARE using me and not that moth whore, right user?

Im playing offline, what am I missing /v/???

If I (level 90) co op with my fried who's level 20 will it scale me down somehow or will I be the same and just make it all way too easy for him

Umibozu frustration and overall incompetence

>Everlasting Ki

If I stack it until 100%, do I still get staggered by attack if my Ki ran out?

Revenants, they're like bloodstains in dark souls except you can fight the other players ghost and get their equipment.

Also co-op, pvp, and clan donating. Clan donating gets you a lot of gold, glory, and rare materials. That alone is worth playing online for imo.

People falling into holes.

So I'm fine to play the DLC after I beat the epilogue before moving into NG+? Getting a lot of conflicting information. Some people say that's totally fine and the best way to play it for the first time, others say that playing DLC before NG+ will be insanely frustrating and/or a total waste of time gear-wise

There's no level scaling that I am aware of. I was helping a friend earlier and I was still doing way more damage than him and making the level too easy.

Should I just rush to NG+?
Also, just beat the Ogress, how far am I?

I hope you're all having fun

Thanks user
y-you too

It basically removes the out of breath animation from when you're knocked out of Ki or guard broken, but not any of the other associated animations.
Just go right into it. People only say you shouldn't because of much later things that won't really matter to you since you want to actually play through the game.

Nobody knows find out, for science.

This game is a lot of fun user. I hope you're having a nice day.

Skill damage just affects the specific Samurai abilities I learn right, not finishing blows though?

I'm using Fox and Spider-chan

I'm playing the PC version, and I get those really weird insane stutters that drop my game to sub-30 fps with input lag from perfect 60. They can be temporarily healed by alt-tabing out and into the game again, but it's frustrating af. Any idea what's causing it? Had the same problem with Warriors All-Star, might be some weird shit inherent to the engine they're using

...

I would be having fun if NG+ wasn't literally filler content.

The axe guy on the bridge is a fucking turtling cunt. I can parry him all day until he gets to his last but of health and then suddenly he's full on defense never attacking. As soon as I switch to High to work on his guard he goes instant full aggressive and goes back to turtling when I switch to Mid. And then there's the unevenness of the bridge causing my parry attempts to miss because his attacks goes over me instead which of course means I have to eat the follow up attack because of the missed parry. I decided to leave it for now when during the last attempt he ate an Elixer and recovered a quarter of his health.

>watch enb play nioh
>he keeps using high stance 2kat for hours despite doing piss poor dps, having a horrible roll instead of normal dodging and running out of stamina all the time

>can alter armor appearance
>can hide helmet
>can change hair and beard
>can assume the appearance of major NPCs
>can't hide inactive weapons so you always look like a walking pincushion if you maximize your efficiency

FUCK

I use high stance 2kat in heavy armor, come at me bro

Ok thanks. Gonna start reforging on the other armor parts to get this sick bonus.

Is the general progression NG -> NG+ -> DLC?
Should I aim for a certain level before DLC or it it more about gear?

>hide inactive weapons
but why? all weapons showing is one of the nicest things about this game

The level requirements on the Warrior difficulty DLC aren't a suggestion. If you go into it unprepared you'll be suffering and dealing with damage sponges from dawn till dusk.

Not having easy gear from revenants kinda sucks. I haven't felt a real need for gold or materials yet, so I hope that doesn't bug me too much later-on.

HOW DO I KILL UMIBOZU BEFORE MY HOST DYING?

You already asked this in the last thread 2 times bro.
If you don't trust any answers just go into the DLC, see how you're doing, and if it's too frustrating use the branch to get out and do regular NG+ first

...

You will need materials later on for sure. If you want to make your build really tight it's good to spec for forged gear, since it has less requirements than dropped gear. A lot of people don't care about that though and just spec for dropped gear early on.

Forging gear gives you at most 30 something percent chance to get a purple item on NG so you end up wasting a lot of materials on forging unless you back your save up and save scum it or something.

Once you're reasonably high level and have a good set of forged gear you can just reforge for good effects and keep soul matching it until NG+.

Can someone wearing a set that isn't shit die on NG+ for once so i can fight their revenant and get their gear? For fucks sake, why does noone have Kingo? Or Iga with non shit rolls for that matter.

I don't know if it's really all that sick. Since it doesn't take out the animation from getting guard broken you're still left a bit vulnerable, and I never caught how it acted if you're just knocked out of Ki (since it barely ever happens thanks to lolrebalance), but I suppose it would let you block much more with less fear of repercussions.

Kato or Kara-Jishi?

I'm kind of bummed I can't get some of the helmets on the PC version.

Was neat havin' a Tanuki hug your head. Fox one was cute too.

Isonade

You want some Hayabusa shit?

How is Hayabusa's damage on ninjutsu use buff?

its shit

depends on weapon, more skill spammy shit uses kato, and more normal attackers use karajishi

>more skill spammy shit uses kato, and more normal attackers use karajishi
ain't this other way around

stop slandering my sharkfu or I'll have to press charges

user, kato raises skill damage, how could it be the other way around?

Anyone else getting absolutely crushed by the dlc?
I can make through the level just fine but the bosses just one shot me.
should I just grind until i hit the mission level of 150?

Sure bro, i was actually semi joking, because i have no idea how the Revenant system actually works. (as in when you die, what are the criteria for you revenenants grave to spawn in other peoples worlds, and for how long)

>guardians with cool talisman attacks have shit stats
>godly passive bonus guardian spirits have shit talisman attacks

it means your gear isnt modded right

afaik, it just shows until the guy reclaims his own grave

>kato raises skill damage
and karajishi gives you a hueg damage buff on skill use which is stronger than Kato's passive skill damage bonus

i think at some point i farmed some guys grave for like 15 minutes so i don't know if that's true

He could've gone for a fag to quell his rage or something.

how do i get there from here

it's so funny how often this gets posted here

leave windowed mode and look at the wall on your right

fuck me i feel so dumb now

This is one of the most often posted things in these threads.

I have waaaay too many samurai points and nothing to spend them on right now. should I use a third weapon? might be fun to try something new.

The gun sticks are maximum fun.

>trying to do DLC mini boss all day long
>not a single summon to help me

Am I too early or what

If you're playing on PC then yeah you are fast.

I'm a NEET and I play the game for at least 4 hours a day and I just unlocked the master dojo missions in region 6 or whatever it is. I imagine the average player who plays when getting home from work is still in region 4 or 5.

>should I use a third weapon? might be fun to try something new.
No. Fun is horrible, never try to do anything that might lead to it.

I'm just wondering if I'll get screwed later for spending away those extra points I currently have.

>I'm just wondering if I'll get screwed later for spending away those extra points I currently have.
You can just respec if you want those points back.
Go and live a little.

okie dokie

Different person, but yeah leveling a third weapon is probably more rewarding than just dumping points into melee weapon damage for marginal gains.

>that shell
what year is it?

>tfw actually got there from behind
>lit the bonfire but can't find a way out, decide to tp back to the shrine
>suddenly see a piece of paper on the wall
>take it
>it reveals a nurikabe

>Tfw pirated the game because you live in a 3rd world shithole and can't use clans

There are offline revenants, but they just drop random crap right?

I don't know which clan it is but the one that increases Elixir potency led to my first-try kills on bosses

Fuck off dumb frog poster. I'm sure someone else in your favela needs the modem for downloading some shitty 240p porn.

What kind of third world?
I've met plenty of huemonkeys and mexicans who play.

anyone know how to get rid of samurai points with the cheat engine? I dont have anything i want to spend them on and the few extra points icon is tickling my autism

can confirm, they have pure garbage

play online via steam*

the biggest thing pirates are missing out on are revenants because it's a pain in the ass to get gear with the really good affixes

>Favela

Try commieblock. I live in really shitty area of eastern europe. I am pretty sure I am one of the few people in my village with a functioning PC.

Are fast weapons better at applying elemental debuffs quicker?
Also is pure magic any good?

jesus god damn fucking christ I hate sub missions. they try to get cutesy with their whole “haha its a maze, haha betcha dont know how to get the last objective”

i just end up Youtubeing it every. single. fucking. time. Hands DOWN my least favorite aspect of this game

soulsbab spotted

yes, multihit attack in particular is great
pure magic is shit and you will feel more like a mage by going 99 DEX flame dragon + tengu fan

Are people seriously this brain damaged or is this copypasta? It shows you the objective and how to get to it on the mini map.

Because it looks like shit.

>Are people seriously this brain damaged
Yes.
But this is just bait.

Let me guess. The bath house? Is that what's getting you upset?

Yes and no. Pure magic can work when you're highish level and have 99 magic, a good magic boosting guardian spirit, and good magic boosting equipment. It's not what I would call great though. It can't scale beyond that so it will be strong for NG+ but beyond that you'll find weapons scale a lot better.

What I like to do is get magic to 30 for the attunement slot cap and then just use a bunch of the good talismans for buffs/debuffs instead of trying to be a fireball mage or whatever.

>kill several revenants with different names
>all of them wearing the exact same weapon (AA strength scaling odachi)
So people basically farm each other for good loot.
Is there any reason to craft then?

The only level I got lost on was the abandoned castle level where you fight Yasuke. The underground prison hallway looks the same to me and ended up running through it multiple times before I find the right way to the next area.

Revenant loot is +0

I kind of want to hide the ranged weapon on your back, really ruins how my Wirriam looks because I made his refashion look simple and peasant-like just like how real Ninjas dress to blend in, but having all those ranged weapons on his back ruins that.

magic is not for damage but for confusion and buffs
thus said, consumables + flame dragon works way better for confusion and flame dragon is as effective for LW mode buildup with pleiades/extraction as elemental shots despite being way more damaging and cooler looking than any magic

Where do i get the Red Demon Armor Smithing Text?

does it have a star moonlit snow?
no?
then it's trash

>moonlit snow
>good

its situational unless all you're fighting are punchin bags

Am I the only one who really likes that mission that is set in a temple that is like half destroyed?

It has a bunch of water everywhere, and you gotta go along the roofs and shit to find bonfires to light. I wasn't a huge fan of the boss, but the map itself was a lot of fun. It was really tense fighting on two logs floating in the water.

If you want to truly blend in you have to work around it.
