Moege is a "made up" genre from western VN readers used to describe a movement within commercial VNs, rather than a classification. It used to be that everything had some kind of scenario, plot, character study, or gameplay, (or were literally pure porn) but then games with no focus but the girls' moe started coming out in increasing numbers.

Ou Jackson is a very acclaimed, well-known (in eroge circles) writer in Japan that you probably recognize as the scenarist for Oretsuba. When Minato Carnival set about making Anegin (vndb.org/v16066) under Takahiro's supervision, they heavily advertised the fact that Ou Jackson would be writing for the game (along with Takahiro). This built up a lot of hype since Ou Jackson so rarely wrote for VNs. Tons of people were buying the game just for him. Takahiro (both the director of the game and co-writer) stressed the inclusion of Ou Jackson in interviews. And thus, when the game finally came out... it turned out that Ou Jackson had barely written anything. Takahiro had written the vast majority of the game himself. In other words, Minato Carnival and Takahiro had exploited Ou Jackson's popularity to get more sales, basically lying to fans in the process. At this point Takahiro has a pretty tarnished name, at least among more serious eroge fans. Since he's also heavily involved with Tsuyokiss and Majikoi, he's not exactly a pariah hated by all, but many people such as myself have a strong dislike for him and Minato Carnival.

I'm up to the part in Tsumugu's route where it is time skipping and flashbacking all over the place and they have also apparently broken up for no discernible reason. I've really lost the will to keep reading and she is probably one of my most favourite girls too. Everything was really fun right up until all this shit started happening, should I force my self to push through or give up? Cause I really can't suffer through much more of this.
