I don't remember much socialist realism art with nudity in it, and if anything Communist societies seem much more straight laced than their capitalist equivalents, with a brief exception of the 1920s in the USSR which apparently did have nudity marches. But then they didn't have nudist colonies like the West has, and I've never heard of nudist beaches.

And I don't mean that in the /pol/ way, I mean that nudity is extremely haram for Jews going all the way back to Adam and Eve and that perception of nudity directly informs Christianity and therefore the mores of western civilization. Nudity in the classical sense is Apollonian, and a foreign concept to Judaism; there's a reason it only started being acceptable again once the ancients re-entered the intellectual currents of Europe in the middle ages.

They were gwnerally vehemently opposed to the sort of orgiastic, common nudity that would be exemplified by, say, prostitutes or a drunken party, but at the same time they were very enthusiastic about naturalism and the aesthetics of the human form; nudity that was, if not quite innocent, then at least not tied at the hip with carnal desire.
