when this expansion came out, i really wanted to do my best and kill elder. i went into higher tier maps then i normally get to and grinded all the shaper maps i found until i finally spawned elder. everyone on reddit said he was a really easy superboss to get into so i figured he would be a piece of cake. except he wasnt. i was never able to kill him throughout the league and he is still sitting in my atlas in the same place he spawned.

once i realized that i would never be able to kill him, i got really sad. like i put so much effort into planning and building this character. its the best version of a glacial hammer shield build ive ever made. i incorporated cold steel and the surrender which i never used before. and the cold damage abyss jewels are huge. im doing way more dps then any of my old characters, but its still not enough to kill him. normally, i would just learn from my mistakes, but i cant see anything to learn from here. like i dont see anything i can refine to pump out more dps. i have one of the best maces i could find. i have a 6linked skill. i have plenty of jewels. i have good cold penetration. i dont know what else i can do.

it's not that bad for the first 10 or so orbs since you can have the elder spawn in any map and then you just spread his influence to higher tiers , it's after that it becomes tougher imo.

The blue glow in the eyes are from the harbinger league, so if you have some sort of different glow effect you can stick it in there.

They haven't said. They have confirmed there are new Elder drops, however. Shown a Staff and a Quiver thus far.
I prefer the Harpy set. There are very few good Caster sets and this is the first one to have a full model for female characters, rather than simply taking the Marauder model, shifting its bones around, and scaling it down.
Also, Journeyman > Manticore.
