Prove to me WWII wasn't the dumbest fucking war of all time
Protip: you can't
>WWII starts because "muh poland" >poland gets invaded by germany and the USSR >allies declare war only on germany >USSR attacks finland, allies again do not declare war on them >chickenshit allies do not even attempt to save poland >britain does jack shit, waits for uncle adolf to declare war on the US >ebil nazis BTFO >poland remains under a totalitarian government for roughly half a century
>let me save the Aryan people by letting them die by the thousands and then almost in nuclear fire
Joshua Lewis

>>USSR attacks finland, allies again do not declare war on them They were actually quite close to doing it.
>>britain does jack shit, waits for uncle adolf to declare war on the US But they did everything they could to fight the Germans. They bombed the shit out of them and fought them in North Africa. They also gave lend lease to the Soviets. What else do you want them to do, launch D-Day on their own?
Nathan Peterson
It wasn't about Poland you dumb fuck >>USSR attacks finland, allies again do not declare war on them Yea declare war to defend nazi puppet, ain't you a smart fella
Jason Rodriguez
>let's use valuable sources, personnel and the transportation network to deport people to concentration camps instead of using them for the war effort
Jayden Roberts
Finland allied with Nazis out of necessity when Britain abandoned them.

On December 12th 1941, as a result of Germen pressure, Hungary declared war on the United States. This is part of a conversation between the Hungarian diplomat presenting his country's declaration of War and a senior US State Department Official (latter recalled by the Hungarian to the Italian Foreign Minster Galeazzo Ciano, who wrote it down). Even if it's not real it's still quite relevant.
>American: 'Is Hungary a republic?' >Hungarian 'No, it is a Kingdom' >A 'Then you have a King' >H 'No, we have a regent who is an admiral' >A 'Then you have a Fleet' >H 'No, we do not have any sea' >A 'Do you have any claims, then' >H 'Yes' >A 'Against America' >H 'No' >A 'Against England' >H 'No' >A 'Against Russia' >H 'No' >A 'But against whom do you have these claims' >H 'Against Romania' >A 'Then will you declare war on Romania' >H 'No, Sir. We're allies'
>start war because muh Danzig >Danzig was an independent state with its own police and administration that already elected a NSDAP government in 1933
Elijah Ross
This reads like a groucho marx punchline
Liam Edwards
to be fair, Britain, France, and Russia were honestly nowhere near ready for a war. Plus the Brits used the time to get their radar network finished which probably saved London.
Jaxson Lewis
But mug polish corridor that was ethnically polish was genociding prussians
Elijah Allen
Isn't that kinda helpful to their cause? >ethnic Germans elect NSDAP in territory arbitrarily given to Poland Sounds kinda justifiable for annexation tbqhwu
David Garcia
Suomiboos out
Charles Brown
Except they weren't demanding Danzig, they were demanding Danzig and the rest of the Polish Corridor, which was in fact majority Polish, because muh continual territory.
Kevin Thompson
It wasn't given to Poland in the first place. That's the point.

>But they did everything they could to fight the Germans. It's not, they lost 300 thousands of man in war which they started.

reminder that Mosley was giving speeches to crowds of 20,000.. 30,000... 100,000 between 1936-1940 with his "stop the war" movement. In 1941 he was arrested under 18b by orders of the Home Secretary, who had the power to detain any man without warrant, or trial, or right of defense indefinitely, NOT because Mosley was a traitor or a nazi spy, but simply because Mosley and the peace movement staged mass rallies pressuring the government to negotiate peace with Germany in 1940. So Mosley was thrown into jail on the state's whim for four years simply for seeking peace.
The more I read about that war the more I'm vexed... There's a rather eerie video of Churchill reciting Swift's "We are God's Chosen Few" floating around somewhere on the internet.
Mosley was a political fool, but a man of impeccable character with deep love of the people of his country unlike that despicable boor, Churchill.
It was an occupied state. Judeo-Bolsheviks occupied the country at the end of WWI.

>German–Polish Non-Aggression Pact (January 26, 1934) >German–British Non-Aggression Pact (September 30, 1938) also Munich Agreement30 September 1938 >German–Danish Non-Aggression Pact (May 31, 1939) >German–Estonian Non-Aggression Pact (June 7, 1939) >German–Latvian Non-Aggression Pact (June 7, 1939) >Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact (23 August 1939) looks like this little fella came last
Julian Barnes
>allow germany and poland to partition czechoslovakia which was a part of the allies and could have actually defended itself in its mountains while the allies would have massively outnumbered germany on the western front >justify not honoring the alliance by saying "our alliance was with czechoslovakia not this new state created yesterday by the nazis" >intervene in order to "save poland" which could not defend itself while germany now has an agreement with the soviets
Gavin Mitchell
Where the fuck did you grow? Fucking retard Finland was neutral country
Aaron Ross
>As the Treaty stated, the region was to remain separated from post-World War I Germany (the Weimar Republic) and from the newly independent nation of the Second Polish Republic ("interwar Poland"), but it was not an independent state.[3] The Free City was under League of Nations protection and put into a binding customs union with Poland.
>Poland was given full rights to develop and maintain transportation, communication, and port facilities in the city.[4] The Free City was created in order to give Poland access to a well-sized seaport. Call me overly simplistic, but it looks basically Polish to me.
Yeah, that's where they went autismo.
Juan Butler
>USSR attacks finland, allies again do not declare war on them Britain wanted to, but Sweden prevented British expeditionary group from reaching Finland.

Pic is about the Continuation War (1941-1944) where Finland seeked revenge with Germany. Topic was about Winter War back in 1939.
Adrian Lee
