No, ancient Egyptians were a branch of Semitic people. There would have been a black minority inhabiting Egypt hailing primarily from Nubia however.

WE

Egyptians were Nordic aryans. So were the Babylonians. Look it up.

The population of Egypt was largely the same in ancient times as it is today

You've got Mediterranean looking people in the north and they get progressively darker until you get to the south, where they end up looking like fairly typical East Africans

the 25th dynasty was, at one point there were black pharaohs

Egypt is in Africa, therefore they were Africans.

If you think about it, the Minoans, Mycenaeans, Macedonians Phoenicians, Hittites, Sumerians, Babylonians, Elams, Aksumites and Achaemenids were all Nordic Aryans.

>No, ancient Egyptians were a branch of Semitic people
But that's wrong you fucking retard.

Ancient Egyptian (and its descendant Coptic) is Afro-Asiatic.
Semitic languages are a branch of the Afro-Asiatic languages.
So they are related the same way Romance and Germanic languages are related. Similar base grammar, a few words are similar, and that's it.

What he said. Sadat was from south egypt and was called by lighter skinned Egyptians "nasser's black poodle"

In general you can't see/think of pre-modern peoples as some monolithic single block of 100% we arr rook same. I say that more in the sense of "Hurr all Scythians were blonde and blue eyed" "Durr all Iranians were as dark as the Elamite art". Not saying they were multikult like Americans are today but you still had migrations, invasions, introductions and intermingling of slaves or foreign populations. New Kingdom Egypt had the introduction of Canaanite slaves/forced population transfer, Nubian slaves/Medjay paramilitary recruits, Sea people allowed to settle for military service, Hykos who went native, Shasu bedouin, Libu who would end up settling the Nile delta in droves. Even today a northern population largely isolated like the Scandinavians are not universally blonde and blue eyed. A great many and majority are but without foreign intermingling they are not universally so.

The original pre old kingdom Egyptians were not black. Nor were blacks the majority of the populace or major ethnic influence the way Canaanites-Semites and Libu were.

They were also not a bunch of blonde blue eyed Scandinavian homo-erotic nazi fantasies either.

They were only semitic in that they spoke a semitic language.
Ancient Egyptian language is Afro-Asiatic, which is a Semitic language family. Arabic, Amharic, Tigray, Hebrew, etc are all afro-asiatic.

The position of modern scholarship is that the Ancient Egyptians were native to the Nile River Valley region. Other's migrated to the region from the Sahara when it dried out, even more, around 5,000 years ago.

As you have stated, there was a black minority inhabiting Egypt, who came from Nubia and maybe also Abyssinia to a smaller extent.

Look at the blue eyes on this statue and other's like it; it proves that the Sumerians were my ancestors :)))

Never mind how they used lapis lazuli to paint the eyes to show divinity, or that they painted themselves as dark skinned people, or that they referred t themselves as the "the dark haired people", or that there is literally no reasonable explanation as to how Scandinavians inhabited Mesopotamia.

It's been proven that they weren't black.
They were Near Eastern-Mediterranean.

>they get progressively darker until you get to the south, where they end up looking like fairly typical East Africans

wrong. the blacks in southern egypt keep to themselves, are a small minority, and are only found in the far south, starting around aswan. there's practically no intermarriage.

people don't have to have blond hair to have blue eyes....people don't have to be scandinavian to have blue eyes either. Obviously. There's stll people with blue eyes in iraq to this day...pretty much any caucasian people except for some south asian ethnicities, have blue and green eyes as a genetic trait, to varying degrees. Most frequently in the people of the baltic sea region where its the most concentrated in the world and spreads out into the rest of europe, becoming less frequent with greater distance. But the baltic sea region is not the genetic origin of blue eyes among all caucasians, just most of the blue eyes of europeans. Mediterraneans including southern europeans have their own genes for blue eyes not originating from the baltic sea. Ditto for central asians and circassians.

Actually, the consensus for the most likely origin of sumerian people, is somewhere in caucasia. There is a specific caucaisan people believed to be the closest relatives of the ancient sumerians.

Yes. The truth will not remained suppressed forever. Once they test DNA from the EARLY DYNASTIC PYRAMID BUILDERS (not Arab foreign Johnny come latelys) the albino cave beasts will be eternally BTFO

There is physical anthropological evidence that at least some where black.

Egyptians had only one term to designate themselves: KMT, which literally means ‘the Blacks.’ This is the strongest term existing in the Pharaonic tongue to indicate blackness.

Afro asiatic is The family semitic languages BELONG TO, Egyptian was afroasiatic but NOT Semitic

The DNA says otherwise.

>semitic
lol wut
ancient egyptians today's most close group are syrians

Km.t means 'black land' and is thought to refer to the black earth around the Nile Delta.

knowyourmeme.com/memes/we-wuz-kings

user, Syrians are semitic.

Egypt was a mixture, of both olive skinned people and black nubians, at a few points there were nubian emperors, leading to the the (true) claim that within egypt black people took the throne.

Actually, the DNA of the mummified Egyptians before the Ptolemaic period confirms Egyptians being black. Egypt was black before the Greeks invaded.

Furthermore: Herodotus, a Greek, confirmed that Egyptians were black. Aeschylus also confirmed this.

What's more is that melanin tests confirm the fact that Pharaohs before the Ptolemaic period were, in-fact, of the "Negroid race." It is pretty goofy that people would insist otherwise.

The olive skinned people came after the Greeks invaded.

Really makes you think

too bad black people fail to recognize the beauty in anything but themselves

They were similar to bedouin populations. Definitely not East Africans.

Neither Western Europeans too.

The Egyptian people have always and continue to confuse people because they don't fit into the neatly defined concepts of race, especially today in light of American racial concepts.

People can't comprehend, they must be arabs right, or blackss, or white? If not any of those three, then its incomprehensible to the modern mind.

But that is truth, they are not black, white or arab, they are Egyptians, they are their own people.
If you absolutely must catagorise them, they can be considered distant cousins of Arabs and Berbers, somewhere in the middle.

Basically, they're native north African people. Egyptians, and their skin tones vary from light to dark.

it's also goofy to insist there is an afterlife but people still do it

>Herodotus
Herodotus is not considered a very reliable source.

He's alright, he doesn't actively lie, he, and he admits this, tells us what people told him, often a chain of people.

anyway that guy is lying or retarded, Heredotus is talking about the actually black kushites further south.

yeah, but DNA is
Herodotus is like "also this guy said so"
