Because they wanted to destroy all remaining legitimacy of the old Russia. If one of them had been left alive, domestic and international support might have rallied about them. It was a sound, if brutal, decision.

*teleports behind you.*
"Nothing personnel kid."

Because Communism needs a fresh plate

>Romanovs killed untold numbers of people and their families to stay in power
>eh business as usual
>Commies kill the czar and his family
>REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Didn't one of the Soviet Guards for the Romanov's defect to the White Army after learning of their execution?

why the fuck not

They were on the wrong side of history.

tsar nicky is the same guy who armed his palace guards with machine guns and ordered them to fire on protesting civilians, women and children

>It's just Historical Necessity kid. Nothin' personal.

>Commies
>people
Seriously though, compared to the atrocities that came after, that was nothing.

the protestors weren't 'commies' you dont know what you're talking about

This

the 'socialists' actually reverted back to feudalism

Dont worry, Putin is almost the new tsar.

...

>[This is what communists actually believe]

>Romanovs killed untold numbers of people and their families to stay in power

Imperial Russia (1721 - 1917 AD) averaged less than 70 executions per year, almost all of which were for heinous crimes like murder. The Romanovs objectively weren't mass murderers in any rational sense of the word.

Makes me glad that my country transit to constitutional monarchy smoothy when other european monarch went down left and right

>If the intellectuals in the plays of Chekhov who spent all their time guessing what would happen in twenty, thirty, or forty years had been told that in forty years interrogation by torture would be practiced in Russia; that prisoners would have their skulls squeezed within iron rings; that human beings would be lowered into acid baths; that they would be trussed up naked to be bitten by ants and bedbugs; that ramrods heated over primus stoves would be thrust up their anal canals (the “secret brand”); that a man’s genitals would be slowly crushed beneath the toe of a jackboot; and that in the luckiest possible circumstances, prisoners would be tortured by being kept from sleeping for a week, by thirst, and by being beaten to a bloody pulp, not one of Chekhov’s plays would have gotten to its end, because all the heroes would have gone off to insane asylums.
>And not only Chekhov’s heroes — what normal Russian at the beginning of the century, including any member of the Russian Social Democratic Workers’ Party, would have believed, would have tolerated, such a slander against the bright future? What had been acceptable under Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich in the seventeenth century, what had already been regarded as barbarism under Peter the Great, what might have been used against ten or twenty people in all during the time of Biron in the mid-eighteenth century, what had already become totally impossible under Catherine the Great, was all being practiced during the flowering of the glorious twentieth century — in a society based on socialist principles, and at a time when airplanes were flying and the radio and talking films had already appeared — not by one scoundrel alone in one secret place only, but by tens of thousands of specially trained human beasts standing over millions of defenseless victims.

>WHY DID THEY HAVE TO FUCKING KILL THEM?
Kolchak's forces were approaching. Tsar would've been a huge symbol for the Whites.

>I HATE LENIN SO DAMN MUCH!
Actually, it wasn't lenin that gave the order to kill the Tsar. [spoiler]It was Kaiser Wilhelm, look it up.

>even fucking MAO managed to spare and rehabilitate the last emperor of his nation

How will Sovietcucks ever recover?

>Spare your monarch
>China still intact economically better the never
>Kill your monarchy
>Entire empire and all of the Tsars hard work conquering central asia gone lol
>Back to 'monarchy'
