Unironically the worst day in history

Unironically the worst day in history

Only because the reds got there first and we didn't invade them after it was over.

>Call it the Thousand Year Reich
>Lats 12
I don't know, it's a little funny

>tfw the flag of Dixie will never fly over the burning Reichstag and cause Wehraboo butthurt to reach catastrophic levels.

>america could have beaten the red army in 1945

"Gee Ivan! How come Uncle Joe lets you wear TWO watches?"

kek

>The Red Army could have beaten the allies in 1945

of course they could, the allies wouldn't have a chance

There is a chance the Soviet’s could win if the right actions were taken at the start. Overall, no one would win most likely. The war of attrition would prove to be too much for both sides if they went to war right after Germany collapsed

>The war of attrition would prove to be too much for both sides
I could tell you which of the two major powers would call for peace first if you like. A hint though, it's not the ruskis. The Soviet's numbers were recently inflated by freeing loads of russian POWs and re-conscripting them. They can zerg rush like no one's business

Good luck zerg rushing britain and usa

>The only country with nuclear weapons could not beat the Red Army in 1945.

OK.

Why should they? They'd have all of Eurasia under the red flag.

>of course they could, the allies wouldn't have a chance

And no way of holding onto it

Good post

Lmfao. The USSR had just gotten btfo in a war while the US mainland was literally untouched.

USSR would be first to deliver nukes via ICBMs.
Also, USSR was the first to bring out the thermonukes, with certain modification making the potential power of the bomb unlimited.
Hell, we'd not need to send the bomb anywhere at this point, just make a big enough dakka, blast it, and doom the rest of the world to an agonizing death.

If Stalin acted quickly enough he might have been able to take mainland Europe but that's all. He couldn't touch the UK or US because both their navies massively outclassed the USSR's. The allies would just retake mainland Europe later in the war and goodbye communism.

The only bad thing is the fact that the Russians got there before us

>communists killing anarcho-primitivist socialists is bad mkay

there is no fucking way how can Anglos explain to their soldiers and civilians that they are going to start next war against their allies after the 7/4 years long war just ended. Also good job explaining to them why did you lost more men fighting your former ally in 6 months and you are still stucked in Germany than you lost fighting a war 4 years and conquering half of Europe, Africa and Pacific.

the only way how could allies win is:
1. Stalin attacks first
2. They withdraw to Rhine and try to keep losses at minimum while re-building the Maginot
3. Tell French that Stalin is Trotskist and will kill them as communists of different kind to avoid communist insurgency
4. Send bombers to bomb Soviet cities around the Baltics, loose dozens of thousands of pilots
5. If losses exceed 10 000 dead a month (they will) abandon France, try to estabilish strong defence in Italy and try to ask Stalin for peace.
White peace is literally the only thing allies can hope to get, Stalin always wins if allies attack first. Stalin wont ever attack first.

What about American nukes? Would they be a thing?

Good point. Stalin just needs to have Molotov say something about treachorous capitalists on radio and the Red Army will fight with the same spirit and rage they had before fall of Berlin.
Allies on the other hand need justification, and no way they'll convince the populace to fight. There will be riots and mutinies.

If the US/Britain attack the Soviet Union in 1945 I assume that averts the Soviet declaration of war on Japan. Given that, does Japan last longer without the Soviet invasion of Manchuria/Korea? Is there any sort of cooperation between the Soviet Union and Japan?

Wow we've got a geniune retard here

The western allies could win if they could hold on long enough in europe for the US' industry to come into play desu, soviet GDP was like a quarter of the US' alone. Combined, the UK and the US had a GDP of like 2.2 billion, while the soviet union's was only like 300 million.

>USSR first to deliver ICBMs
>Even though they didn't even develop their own atomic warhead until 1947

Your birthday.
