its not so much the power drain, I dont mind that, but the rear seal has been worked on twice in the past 5-6 years and it STILL leaks like a mofo. I just think it'd be best to replace it while the starter is out atm

Ahh, i know all about transmission leaks i had a 71 Cutlass two years ago that leaked like crazy.

Is it totally fucked? Have you replaced the seal already? If you don't mind the power drain it would probabley be cheaper to try and salvage the stock tranny.

did you put in the gear splitter? i have an old shit box chevy with 4.56 gears and I can't drive comfortably over 45 mph
