It’s not made clear, but I doubt he’d even be pro martial arts training. Make any argument you want, like krav maga being for the street, or mma being the truest test of man to man skill, and it still probably wouldn’t even sway Tyler.

Fighting for him was animalistic, and winning or losing was irrelevant (remember he made being beat up a fight club homework assignment), and learning a fighting “form” that would make you more effective at the cost of losing your natural, chaotic instincts doesn’t seem like something he’d stand for.
