theres at least 3 exchanges that offer USD/XMR pairings if you want to but verification for non-BTC transactions can be a pain, why do you need to buy with USD?

monero is good at what it does, but it has limited use case compared to eth. go half in monero, half in ether.

I would buy as soon as possible. I believe Monero will be in a bull run for at least the first two quarters of 2018 and it's only going to be more expensive from hear on out. Stop daytrading you nigger and hold. Hold is more profitable 9 out of 10 than trying to time the market perfectly. Especially since cryptos are more volatile than stocks and trade 24/7/365.

It's more profitable long term sure. But I like to try and play with part of my stack trying to flip the waves. Unfortunately I was slightly too greedy with this one, I sold too soon, should have waited until I saw some resistance instead of just guessing. Other coins are going well right now though.
