In the long term what you say will prove true. But they are not stupid and they want to bet on it to make more money. If eventually they bet it will go down, I would take some profits and buy the dip. Most btc owners will not sell, but a few btc owners who own a LOT and can pay off the exchanges have probably been accumulating and are cooperating with pools just like they do with all markets, except most markets they play with are in the trillions.
