I think that's all that needs to be said
All that needs to be posted for me.
I am sad now
>play with shit DMs
>get shitty games
what a surprise
Can I give a story of the edgiest GM I had the misfortune to play with?
>Evil is the active philosophical force in this universe. 'Good' is only a question as to how far you are able and willing to go to oppose Evil.
Ergo, NOT sacrificing peasants to power up your blood rituals to help you fight the demons is an evil act, and yes, could, in theory, make a Paladin fall.
Sounds like Warhammer to me.
>tiefling vengeance paladin
>uses limited-use oracle to find location of their missing parents
>finds out they've been captured by hill giants
>declares that that's what they deserve and doesn't investigate any further
this is why I have not any interest to try RPGs that aren't video games
Fortunately I've been largely spared edgy characters save a typical 40k one.
Uber Dark
>Neph duk'zarist (dark elf)
>With succubus familiar
>With darkness/Sin magic
>Attacks people with his shadow
It was fucking great and he did nothing wrong
holy shit and I thought my dragon rider and jedi DM was bad.
I would rather lose a friend then let that into my game.
>just got done typing it in manually out of curiosity
Damnit.
>Get to page 3
>Nope, fuck it I'm out, too much cringe
Half Red Dragon Sorc who arrived with a three page rape and gladiator fantasy as his background.
The player rabbited when I used elements of his background against him.
Rape or gladiator part?
yes
But...why go through the trouble in the first place, then?
They probably were just trying to find their parents so they could kill them, or otherwise be sure they were dead.
Same. My first character was a randum Gnome Alchemist who had leather armor I insisted was like a lawn gnome outfit complete with red hat whose first interaction with the party was throwing a bomb at them.
I have come a long way since them but still enjoy gnomes.
