I really want to get into Warhammer 40K for pairing and collecting minis at this point. The eldar army looks so cool and I already have a few minis from when I was kinda getting into WH a few years back. Is it beyond stupid to get into Warhammer 40K for minis alone. I live in the middle of nowhere and I've played four games in 15 years of the hobby.

Between the models and the lore and the screaming autism matches on the internet the hobby has me satisfied.

Also Wraithguard in transports are pretty solid this edition. Wrath Knights are OK (strictly worse than imperial knights but still worth it at anything less than super cutthroat). Wraithlords look mediocre as usual but you do you.

Boy there's nothing I love more than a good narrative campaign where a lot of people are all part of and contributing to one larger storyline.

It's just a shame that so many people think the Imperium should win. They always win. There's this whole theme of chaos losing every single battle but still somehow managing to win the war. At every single turn we see Chaos losing, and yet Cadia's gone and there's the great rift. The whole point of that is to justify having chaos lose constantly. They needed to have some kind of an excuse to lose constantly, and this is it. The fact that most people who play 40k see nothing wrong with having one faction that always wins and one faction that always loses is just astounding.

What would be a good model to get feathered wings and a bird head to make a tzeentch avian daemon prince? Age of sigmar has lots of wings but im not sure what size would be best.

To be fair, Chaos, and some other factions like Orks and Tyranids can't really lose in the sense that you can't actually kill them, just drive them off. A victory against them is just buying time.

On the other hand, if the Imperium falls I think that's it for the faction, the whole shebang just disintegrates.

Explain how there's any possible way in which a faction which isn't even close to the second most played at this point could ever hope to compete with a faction that makes up like half the playable armies and at LEAST 50% of the playerbase.

That's actually an easy one. When you have Imperium v. Imperium, someone can easily say that they're working for chaos. Unless maybe the store manager forbids it. But I'm pretty sure you can do that.

Painting units should affect a separate planet so it's split from points from winning battles. Xenos can only take points away from the faction they fought against. Factions cannot score points if their opponent belongs to the same faction. The campaign is fixed.

But Orks and Eldr were allies before against the Necron Empire. It should ally again, they are meant to be together.

Actually, the Horusian faction of the Inquisition claim that Horus was not a slave to the Chaos Gods. He used them for power. In time he would have enslaved them. That's why they are trying to bring back Horus or recreate him.
