Xenos is pretty cool with their bad as spec ops marines. My opinion cooler than mallus' psychic marines.
Xenos > Heretics > Malleus

Xenos for lots of reasons, but mostly due to having more relatable characters like Kryptman and Eisenhorn (especially when compared to Karamazov).

That's actually pretty cool but the vehicle looks too squat for me. If they elongated the chassis it'd look fine but with how short it is right now it looks like one of those little mini snowplows cities use for sidewalks.

Alright I just had a game with my templars and I had my shit absolutely pushed in by Genestealers, which made my assault terminators a 500 point deadweight. My LRC and crusader blob actually went surprisingly well, so I decided to make a list more based around those aspects instead of alpha strike shit.

Battalion Detachment:
Troops:
> 13 man crusader squad (10 initiates, 3 neophytes), power sword on sword brother
> 13 man crusader squad (10 initiates, 3 neophytes), power sword on sword brother
> 5 man crusader squad, lascannon and plasma gun

Heavy Support:

Dedicated Transport:

It seems really fluffy at this point, but should be able to put out a decent fight with 6 lascannons and 2 land raider crusaders, not to mention the chaplain/emperors champion supported crusaders (that ride in the LRC unless they need to bubble wrap first turn).

Xenos. Deathwatch is super cool and a great story telling vehicle, and Xenos gets a wider range of more interesting foes. Just Daemons and just human cultists would get boring. Xenos get everything from the adaptable Tyranids to the brutish Orks to the elegant Aeldari to the ancient Necrons, not to mention all the minor aliens running about.

Rate my lava bases. Did I do a good job? Do you think I ought to put a texture paint on top of the black to make it stand out a little better? Thinking astrogranite washed with carroburg maybe to simulate the glow of lava.

I like Hereticus and Malleus a lot. I love the detective aspect of Hereticus, but the I'm going to go balls to the wall into battle with Terminator armor aspect of Malleus. Inquisitors fighting alongside Grey Knights in crazy battles seems awesome.

that sounds like it'd make them look better. as they are know, the color looks a little...flat I guess. not really sure what the actual term is, but giving it a layer of something to make the lava pop would probably make them look a lot better. even still, that as it is is still very well done

The closest we have are chapters that found themselves on the losing side of a conflict and seek penance.

based off of what i've read on it's dataslate in the dex, it's a very good gunship as long as it doesn't get hit. thinking about fielding mine to test it out, but I haven't painted it yet, and it'd look out of place with the rest of my army being painted

He's not bad since you can save your orders for something else other than re-rolling 1s to hit. He also adds some melee to your army which is nice. He's hard to kill.

I plan to put him in my Scion and Bullgryn list. Air Beef in Valkyries with Yarrick and Psykers, Scions dropping in, then gunboat Taurox. Might do an Inquisitor in Terminator armor and Assassins too.

Sanctioned Abhumans, they still exist and are part of the Imperium though their homeworld is still eaten by Tyranids. You can have your Abhuman Super-heavy regiment, it doesnt conflict with anything.

3 tempestors each with their own relic or warlord trait
and then yarrick being out in the open escorted by 7 taurox primes with gatling guns hotshot volley guns and storm bolters
