So I haven't played warhammer since 5th edition, so to get back into it I've decided to play as the Raven Guard. Would some kind anons mind having a look at my list and giving me suggestions on what to add or what to change?

Is this too intense for a casual game with a friend? I've never played against him before. I'll probably use the Tallarn strategem to outflank the Hellhound, the Chimera with the Bullgryns and maybe the squadron of Leman Russes.

How about you make your research right buddy boy? I've had to pick and choose the IF successors for that list. All the chapters on the same line as IF are confirmed successors.

I want dreadnought Dorn

I'm looking for some advice/solutions as an AdMech player- my local meta is kind of rough right now. Every list I go up against features Psykers, and I have little to no interaction with them.

My local meta also has a tendency towards high toughness spam, which I feel ill-equipped to deal with. I bring Kastelan Robots, and they can painfully delete a unit of infantry fairly well, and my Corpuscarii Electro Priests are pretty similar. When I'm facing down a wall of Carnifexes, or an army of Leman Russ tanks, it gets a bit rough.

I bring two Onager Dunecrawlers in every list I make now, but it still isn't enough. I bring Kataphron Destroyers, but their Plasma feels ineffectively low-damage, and the Grav Guns are mostly ineffective VS big bugs. They also feel like resource-drains- I need to spend 2 command points to improve their mediocre ballistic skill.

I always bring a squad of Skitarii Vanguard with Plasma Calivers, and one with Arc Rifles, but I'm thinking of making it two squads with Plasma Calivers.

For Psykers, I started bringing a Culexus Assassin, but it's been hard to use properly. Either the target is a Hive Tyrant, and I can't kill it, or worse, I deep-strike the assassin in, and the opponent just moves out of the 18" bubble and continues casting as normal. I've tried playing Graia, but AdMech already suck down stratagems to improve their mediocre models at an alarming rate. Another command point drain to MAYBE stop one psychic power per turn is inconsistent and unreliable.

What are some ways I can, ideally in-faction, deal with High-Toughness spam and Psykers as AdMech?

Why should I include a Chaplain over a Lieutenant? Is the 4++ and Morale aura worth it?

I use havocs a lot and typically 3 LC and 1 HB is pretty solid. You get big time AT and an extra ablative wound that can hurt lil guys. I tried 4 autocannon the other day v nids and it was actually pretty nice for how cheap it is

Chaplains let you re-roll all hits in assault only. Lieutentants let you re-roll wound rolls of 1 for shooting and assault. They're doing fairly different things. Pick the choice appropriate to the units you'll be buffing with them.

No. Assuming. you're using a FRF, SRF order as you suggest all that strat does is give you an extra 2/3rd of a lasgun shot (1/6 of other guns) per dude. Pretty underwhelming. Those exploding 6s stratagems are almost universally terrible.

I'm still mad jealous the DA don't get those. I'd trade those two new anti air tanks for that in a heartbeat

1 infantryman fires 4 shots, hits twice and has a 4/6 chance of getting an additional 4 shots

so thats 3.33 hits per lasgun, roughyl a 60% increase of firepower, taking an infantry team from 20 hits to 33-34 hits

if you can afford it sure, fuck knows how you have an army at all to back up the worlds most overcosted units that are centurions

Logic dictates that, like the regimental advisors for IG, that these individuals shoudn't "break" the deatchment they are put in, but I can't find any rule like that about them. If I'm right, then I hope future rules for Imperial agents change this stuff.

Salamanders and Raven Guard are self explanatory, Dark Angels would obviously have lion girls, Night Lords have bat girls, White Scars would have horse girls and/or hawk girls and Alpha Legion would obviously have Hydra girls.

I have yet to make that work. I find MEQ too squishy so I just leave them in cover with 36"+ guns. You could try it but meh. Really DG are the only ones that would interest me for that but they don't get chosen or havocs
