kill me

>>Thread Question
>Am i the only one who cannot decide on any army?
I've coped by just collecting 75% of them

>im angry AoS centered around my army that no longer exists thousands of years later on the other side of a warp rift

Attached: (you).png (295x504, 194K)

Sounds good to me as long as they're not cheapo 1 wound units.
If they are then I guess I'll just try to deal with it or go with my backup plan which is Khorne. Bunch of Blood Warriors with Bloodthirsters.

So i am thinking that the idoneth are probably going to be like a medium horde sized army with the turtles and eel riders as support units more than anything. The blind elves will probably be your swarm of units that need to have a unit nearby to fight effectively

>AoS centered around my army that no longer exists
wtfamireading.jpg

>Am i the only one who cannot decide on any army?

I finally have 2000 points, its Grand Alliance, but I finally have /MY guys/. Still keep buying any and all units that just look cool despite not building to any goal with them.

Attached: warhammer Grot Spidey.jpg (4032x3024, 1.85M)

Rate/Hate this fish elf list
2 turtles that presumably shit out devastating ranged firepower on a reasonably mobile platform that isnt super easy to kill
3 sharks that presumably shit out devastating ranged firepower on an extremely mobile platform that also shark bite and stab things to death
10 eel riders that can more faster than anything else in the game and be where ever they need to be to kill whatever needs to be tied down and killed
unicorn seahorse cause rule of cool and can probably kill stuff reasonably well

Attached: AdepticonPreview-Mar22-Deepkin4kvcdjgs.jpg (1000x750, 142K)

Settra did nothing wrong and was a better character than Nagash. Prove me wrong

>im angry AoS isnt centered around my army that no longer exists thousands of years later on the other side of a warp rift

anger transcends dimensions, user
like love, but love is for faggots because despite it too being a form of attraction, unlike the attraction of a fist for a face it is never actually constructive, just self indulgent for its own sake

that's why khorne is the god of engineering and smithing and slaanesh of getting fucked and squatted over by elves

Attached: 1518699365031.jpg (837x740, 110K)

I like that during the Nemesis Crown campaign he gave no fucks about the crown itself and just raided Altdorf to get his stolen shit back while everyone else wanted the crown.

>>Am i the only one who cannot decide on any army?
It took me a while and I had the benefit of having my friends choose my Grand Alliance for me. It's just a matter of finding an army with models good enough for you to build a list around, and lore you enjoy enough to use for /your dudes/

I saw Seraphon and liked their lore of being Celestial Daemons along with the Slaan being active. The battles in their tome are neat too, I liked the one bit about the Herald of Slaanesh who thought she was just going to get 'killed' amd sent back to Chaos but the slaan just obliterated her instead.

What are you working on /aosg/?

I'm working on painting my Knights Excelsior Lord-Ordinator

Attached: KE LO.png (893x805, 1.05M)

Picture is an accurate depiction of a kidney stone.

>they hate everyone but they're still Order for some reason

Might as well be Destruction at this rate. Coulda even given them Fellwater Troggoths.

>some don't have eyes!
but none of them has hair; why is that never mentioned? isn't it supposed to be a bigger problem?

>Mum said it's MY turn to play Age of Sigmar

>sea elves attacking snek waifus
Too fucking far.

They will play like Dark Eldar.

There were aelves in Azyr at the start of the Age of Myth created by Mallus. Then these aelves spread out and repopulated the realms during the Age of Myth. Then the aelven gods found slaanesh and made new aelven races out of the souls in her stomach.

Destruction fight fir the sake of fighting. Nearly all the races of Destruction are nomadic who care nothing for cities and civilisation other than seeing them as good sources for loot and food.

These deepkin obviously have cities and civilisation of their own that they want to protect and expand even if its at the cost of others.

i swear to god itll make painting so much easier... fuck painting eyes, hair is one less thing to have to worry about (helmets for the win always) and the whole armor scheme for the army seems to be silver with some blue glaze. And you get to paint turtles, sharks, and other neat things Ive never painted before so it looks like an easy choice for me at least.

>Created by Mallus
?

>Her

he is making shit up now

They attacked them but the sneks were so fierce that the sea elves wanted to stop the fighting and call a truce. The sneks refused and chased the deepkin into the sea/mist

Says who?

>appear to take the sea with them

I guess they're really driving home the "Order are not the good guys" angle.

Too bad it's still fucking boring and over-saturated.

No hair = less resistance when swimming

>medium horde sized army
no. its going to be a jetbike army with mandatory units of min size blind archer elfs

Attached: AdepticonPreview-Mar22-Deepkin1gfdwcs.jpg (1000x750, 168K)

White dwarf issue 76 codex: apocrypha

The grand alliances thing needs to fall apart, it just doesn't work as well as an alliance matrix

I think this guy will make eels battleline if you take him as general.
I base this on him being on a supereel.

>Top Left, Unicorn-Seahorse's tentacles and blind melee
>Top Right, Blind Priestess leading the blind
>Bottom Left, Blind archer
>Bottom Right, Priestess, Wizard, and Scribe being carried by flying octopus buddy
And yes, she was confirmed as a priestess in the same stream where they talked about Wave Chad being the Avatar of Mathlan.

I want the same but inverse for Chaos. I want Chaos to have good factions.

why are they wearing capes, robes and anchor-armour then?

The ghosts from Mallus materialised for a bit before fading back again. The guys who live in Azyr are the descendants of survivors.

Attached: Those who survived.png (409x334, 18K)

>Mallus, also known as the Broken World, the World-before-time and the World-That-Was, is a metallic core of a world, the remains of the Warhammer world after it was destroyed during the End Times.

created the elves?

I think it's more of a hair being annoying as hell underwater thing. I have long hair and and a little wind is a pain in the ass.(don't)

All is right with the world.

>I finally have 2000 points, its Grand Alliance, but I finally have /MY guys/
Post boxes. Pics of piles of boxes are better than porn

I like how I have only seen like a handful of people post on here who actually went and bought DoK models after all the hype, disappointment and arguments.

Will Deepkin be the same? Everyone is horny for them now but will only like 3 people actually post their models once they release?

Well user models are expensive.

Yep this army is going to be a cinch except for the some of the creatures partsvand that fucking wave. Still way easier than painting Kharadron. :(

I want the sneks, but priority right now is getting Mahud cavalry.

These are the only ones I still have laying around.

Uh but it scientifically is less resistant to be bald.

Extra character spotted in this, who is also the blurry person in the background of the previous teasers. (girl with circle on head)

this makes me want to go look for wherever my old Night Gobbos from the WHFB starter have scattered too. Might make a good core for a potential Moonclan army

>Am i the only one who cannot decide on any army?
I don't like turning paiting (which is my fav part of the hobby) into chore, that's why I keep starting small projects over and over again. I'm preety surprised I've managed to get 1k of anything, but I just enjoyed Tzaangor models that much. Now I have some spiderang grots, some trolls and giant, and now I'm starting water themed Stormcast warband (was supposed to add them to rumored deepkin but won't buy them after official info), and will probably make small orruk warband, get some kharadrons at some point etc.

Remember that I want to buy them and work on them but have modelling commitments that I will do first. I imagine many are like me. Ko didn’t start turning up in pictures lots until months after they came out because these things take time. Especially if people want to put love into the models.

>got the Blightwar box to give my fren the nurgle army he wanted
>planning on playing with him next week
>just realised the palladors are one of those units where you really need to paint the gryph and stormcast separately before assembling together

oh shit

You should learn to read

"And a material form."

it was in the video

Attached: im a something kind of leader.png (640x399, 539K)

That's about those who exited the Realm of Chaos.

As the user who was doing the 'Dispossessed or Fyreslayers' nonsense ages ago, you'll pick an army. I eventually found mine.

Lorelet here.

How strong are the SCE in the lore? Are they comparable to the 40k Space Marines in terms of strength when measured against average humanity?

Attached: 1521332765989.png (995x709, 1M)

I dont think they are. Especially since they all die quite often and are reforged. So in a single battle they arent as dominant as a space marine but in the overall campaign they are quite dominant because they never truly die.

That said they are all recruited from the greatest fighters of humankind and given a blank check on weapons armor and training.

Again learn to read. That last part is referring to the "shadows of a bygone era" not the other survivors that already had material form.

Good stuff user. BCR and Spiders have two best sculpts in AoS IMO. I want to get an arachnarok so bad but fuck me if I have a reason to buy one - I'm playing StD and I really like them so I should rather expand my spiky bois than start even a small side project army. Still, I'm worried that venom clan might be sold ut soon

Attached: 1461952637516.jpg (600x529, 72K)

Attached: daily tribute to the meme god.jpg (754x1078, 487K)

Nah, definitely not. They are not a one-man-army for sure. I would say they are a marine scout tier at best on their own

Shouldn't have stole their souls then

How the fuck are we supposed to rate a list when we don't know jack shit.

What the fuck man

Is AoS good at memes again?

Attached: fuckin filthy.jpg (480x270, 40K)

So what actually makes them special? Sigmar gives them some of his power, doesn't he?

>Are they comparable to the 40k Space Marines

To be cynical about it, yes they are meant to be like Space Marines.

Stormcast Eternals are mortals who fought with such bravery and virtue when everything went to shit and Sigmar was forced to retreat, that he plucked them up out of the battlefields with a shot of lightning and reforged them, encasing their spirits into the Stormcast armour (I guess?)

they're better than most mortals, but they're not invulnerable, and when they die their spirits are shot back up to Sigmar on the same lightning bolt to be reforged anew.

>more bows
>not using the opportunity of having a sea-based faction to give them throwing harpoons and/or hooks as weapons

wasted potential

nope they are just heavy armored dudes with a hell of stamina and magic armor and weapons

However good you think the arachnarok kit is, it's +2 better than that. Just a great kit, you gotta build it to get just how good it is.

>humankind

technically Stormcast can be of any race, but when they're reforged they get a new body

Anyone else think "no eyes" and "Hysh" isn't really contradictory? Because if you live in the Realm of Light, maybe being immune to disorientation caused by bright light is a survival adaptation?

Yeah, they are strong and killy but they are not as killy as space marines. SM are bullshit-tier strong in lore while SCE are like
>Hello, I'm Sigmar and I'm your daddy now. Here, take this armour and the power to shit with lightning bolts out of your ass and pray to Me that this guy with a skellie helmet and skellie banner will actually manage to catch your soul. Have fun

on one hand: yes. it annoys the fuck out of me
on the other hand: cool dynamic archers who just need a head swap to be made into anything

so yes, yes i like them

the fact that they were some of the greatest warriors in the realms, given immortality and the best training, equipment and leadership the realms has to offer.

Stormcasts are not spirits encased in armour, they are super human demi-gods wearing magical super armour.

Attached: sc bolters.png (920x950, 913K)

Destro has best monsters, I'm likely going to get a Maw-Krusha eventually and run it with the BCR "Big Guys" and the Arachnarok as 1560 pts of pure meme.

Maybe toss in Drycha as "The Girl", and Gunhauler as "The Mechanic" of the team.

Attached: warhammer Maw Krusha.jpg (640x640, 95K)

Depends on the author really. The Gates of Azyr has them as Space Marine tier to the regular humans and Blood Reavers, but more equal footing with the Blood Warriors. The book after has them dying in droves

They have the blessings of a God-King and they're near-immortal.

They're still special because while they're not overall OP against the forces of Chaos, Death and Destruction, they're still usually stronger than anything else under Orders banner, and they're better than everyone else in nearly every way.

Every order army can benefit from running at least a little Stormcast

ehhhhh. you know... tyrion is blind and he is the god of light. you don't need to explain shit. just saying...

my guess is that the army is reliant on their own terrain with them popping them farther and farther as the tide is summoned, with the fish being forced to swim within the area these terrains limit and you being forced to take the blond guys to even hope to act outside of the bubble.

old lore; retconned shortly after.

and as a matter of fact anyway, no stormcast as even been said to be something other than a human previously

yeah I know they have bodies, but I got the impression with the language used of being reforged, it made it seem like they are basically remade in the form of people wearing armour, and it's a part of them.

the armor is completely separate.

Don't tease me user. Spiders have only two plastic kits but they seem to be amazing with so many options - kitbash a spare flinger as a lobber; model a single spider rider legs and run it as a hyper budget Grot Big Boss on Gigantic Spider; take a spare grot from the arachnarok kit and run it as an extra flavoured shaman to work with the lobber. GW could give them 2-3 more warscrolls just for more list-building variety imo

Attached: forest-spiders1.jpg (705x447, 247K)

I kinda wanna run some goblin-less spiders from the spiderfang kit as my Dire Wolves for my Death army.

Bad idea?

Then is there a lore reason as to why every branch of the Stormcast Eternals wears complete full-plate? Shit even the more mobile and stealthy Vanguard Wing wears head to toe Sigmarite plate

Is running a mortarch absolutely necessary when running a legions of nagash army, or can you have viable army without them?

Well, I would play against you for sure but you should also ask your playmates

Because Wally Squad hasn't been introduced yet.

Honestly, outside of Legion of Sacrament, not a lot of people run the Mortarchs for some reason.

A list is certainly viable without them when we have Necromancers and VLoZDs

user, they are designed to be newbie friendly. Lack of faces and full armour makes them a perfect baby first army. I bought a box of SCE just to learn how to paint - they are great for new hobbists just thanks to head to toe Sigmarite plate

>lore reason
no

personally I think the armour is necessary for them to mantain their powers and ability to return back, but who knows?

I'm Destruction through and through, but I'm salty that every army is becoming Destruction; every army is getting a big monster centerpiece, plus other monsters, except unlike Destruction they have 8+ bravery and loads of other stuff we don't. Hordes used to be our thing too, but everyone gets them too now.
