best hotsauce coming through
pic related, it's the best

What exactly makes a good hot sauce? Perhaps I'm just a bitch but all I really taste is heat and perhaps some lingering other elements such as vinegar or sweetness

Too much heat can usually overpower any other flavors, and if you're sensitive to that that's gonna be most hot sauces.
My favorite hot sauces usually have some fruit like mango, pineapple, or lime. To me it's always best to have some sweetness mixed in but certain foods such as chili are better with a more smoky flavor.

...

it just tastes good, it's sort of sweet with, what i'm assuming is, the natural flavour of naga jolokia. i actually wish it was a bit milder so i could get more of the taste without crying. i tried the same brand but milder versions but they weren't nearly as good in taste.

...

Heat that doesn't hit you right away- Serano/habenero based sauces tend to be best for that, jalapeno/cayenne stuff is either too vinegary or too wimpy and shit like ghost pepper stuff just has like no taste and just fucks your mouth. Uncomplicated sauces tend to be better. Fuck all the fruit shit and little chunks of bullshit floating in the bottle- Tabasco had the right ideas with just a bunch of juiced aged peppers. Now if only somebody would do the same with habeneros.

...

Tabasco is the best.

God I love Veeky Forums banter

I like this guys stuff.

Makes hot sauce, sang for The Offspring and pretty chilly dude.

I got this randomly once at the store. After I finished that first bottle I got it again because I thought it had a good balance of flavor and spiciness. Turns out it's the singer from The Offspring's hot sauce.

I'm not sure if samefagging or wizards...

This right here, blokes.

Is this title offensive?

>sriracha mustard
huh, i've never thought to do this, i'll try it out next time I make a burger.

You can't deny this is the best

Went to a hot sauce store and sampled a bunch, this one I really liked and bought it

You only need a little bit, in addition to the spiciness there's interesting tanginess, maybe. Not sure how to describe it

You just gave me flashbacks. What was that radio ad that said "-sauce, I put that shit on everything!" I can't remember

No, as a wetbackfag, "gringo" is just another normal word. It's like "gaijin" for Japs, sure it can be offensive in certain context/situations, but if you're using it without malice, it's not meant to be offensive

It goes on anything. Pizza, hot dogs, etc.

Quinky sauce is king, of course.

Tabasco on clam cakes is 10/10

Soy suce

Tabasco is the patrician hot sauce option.

GOAT

...

Frank's.

I actually like Frank's a lot, it's a really vinegary hot sauce (cayenne based I think) but it's not overpowering.

My favorite is Crystal, though. Also a vinegary cayenne sauce.

>t. singer from the offspring

El Yucateco is not vinegar based, right? I'm done with vinegar hot sauces.
Too bad I can't actually get El Yucateco but I was wondering why it was so liked.

Look for Marie Sharp's. It's carrot-based. Nice and thick. There is some vinegar, but it doesn't taste vinegary.

Any eastern european anons tried these sauces? A bit on the pricey side.

Sriracha is shit. Take it from someone who lives in Thailand. 20% sugar to start with.

Wooster? You knob, it's Worcestershire. Don't try to pronounce it by the syllable fag,. It's pronounced 'Woostershuh'.

Really.

Agreed. As well as this baby.

back in my day we called it Hivemind

This is really great! I only bought it once. Too bad I ran out of it. I need to find it again.

Crystal is the best. A couple tins of sardines on saltine crackers drenched in Crystal hot sauce, served on a paper plate with an ice cold Budweiser. Perfection.

...

Muh bro.

My favorite is Caribbean though.

Damn that labeling is dope.

Black label is great love the smoke in it

This shit looks good, what is it?

>Website is literally in the photo

agreed

ENHANCE

La Vics has one of the best sauces I've ever tasted in my life.

basically a creamy garlicky hot sauce that's a """secret reciepe"""" in San Jose, CA

Looks familiar to me

El Yucateco is by far and away the best "general purpose" hotsauce.
It's not just a bunch of cayenne pepper, doesnt have that shit "sweet vinegar" taste of pissracha, and has a decent amount of heat for most people.

Yeah their green variety is my go-to and I've turned a lot of my friends on to it.

whoa there, thats a little too spicy for me.

I still don't know why they wanted it to be neon green. Great hot sauce though. I heard that the Hot Ones hot sauce is really great as well.

Became a fan of Kubtil Ik, amazing flavor besides the heat

Gochujang for spicy
Ssamjang for not spicy

Yup. This is the jam. I flat out warn niggas that this is too much for them. I tell them "no" when they ask if they can try it. Still, they try, and still, I watch this stuff ruin plebeian's meals. Good, fuck 'em.

tried that the other week.. its only good with rice stuff..amazing for sushi

This stuff is amazing. The special reserve black is awesome for beef.

My local chinese restaurant has a really good spicy mustard sauce

Never met anyone else who's had pic related but it's fucking delicious with brats, especially if you've got sauerkraut on them too.

heavy breathing

ever

Thoughts?

what's a good Ponzu recipe?

>mildly spicy vinegar

The mango and habanero one is excellent.

>fish sauce

This broken clockanon was right once.

My immediate thought is they probably found some way to overprocess and synthesize hot sauce. I avoid Heinz products when possible

>blairs
Good stuff

Soy sauce, brown or white sugar, lemon and lime juice, garlic and ginger

>He can't handle spicy vinegar.

>muh skulls

The 'Waha Wera' Kiwifruit and habanero is just as good too

Here's another NZ made sauce, this time a brown style meat sauce. Friggin deeelicious

>pickapeppa
Based hot sauces, mango and regular red hot pepper from them are the best.

Exactly what I was thinking.
