Do social "science" labs exist ?

Do social "science" labs exist ?

I cant imagine a sociology "lab"

it's called society

>it's called society
fuck off faggot, its like saying biology lab is called nature.

im talking about a real lab so stop being a faggot or i will trace your ip and find you.

>fuck off faggot, its like saying biology lab is called nature.
>im talking about a real lab so stop being a faggot or i will trace your ip and find you.

Behaviorism is dead though.

Psychology doesnt count as social science. Its just applied biology.

Every other social science isn't actually social science, since they're all applied psychology, which is really applied biology, a natural science.

But a sociologist cant study fucking rats.

So does sociology labs exist ?

And biology is applied chemistry which is applied physics.

which is just applied mathematics

which is just applied psychology

which is just applied biology

which is just applied electrical engineering

Its obvious philosophy is on top as everything is applied philosophy.

No, logic is on top of everything.

logic is branch of philosophy, try again

Which is just applied ecology

Yeah. There are two political scientists who do a lot of experiments at my uni. One does games, so his lab is basically the same as a GRE test site, right? Lots of computers, with walls around them so you can't see what the other participants are doing. The other one does biopolitics, so he just shares a lab with the biology department.

Logic is not a branch of philosophy faggot. It started as a philosophy branch but its not anymore. You dont know shit about philosophy pls dont come into sci anymore

that's too clean to be an actual lab

It is a branch of philosophy. By your triggered emotional response I suppose you are just stupid.

Formal logic is a science itself faggot its not part of philosophy anymore kys

But it's not. It's just focused on behavioral neuroscience now. There's still a lot of classic behavioral style research on social behavior in particular.

I walked into a developmental psych lab once and it was mostly stuff to welcome kids/coloring books etc... And one room with a one-way mirror.

all the fields are pretty distinct from one another

kys ty

>it's a SCIENCE now shut UP
I blame Stephen Hawking's "philosophy is dead" quip. Easily the most dangerously stupid thing that man ever said, because people apparently bought it and that's why we have SJWs and I Fucking Love Science and trannies being made a class of people

stfu faggot logic is not part of philosophy kys

I always assumed that the whole campus was the sociology lab, experimenting with how much bullshit they can make people swallow/put up with without question simply because they were a university/authority. They monitor their more intensive experiments/ lab rats in a building known as "the student union".

Luckily, the only retarded thing I got caught up in was the 2nd Gulf War protests with them heroically blocking the entrances to the lecture buildings in a city/university that had absolutely nothing to do with the war or government. I'm glad I graduated before all this SJW bullshit broke out.

it's really not that bad
it's all compartmentalized, if you don't want to be involved you don't have to
the only protests I've heard about were for tuition and stuff nothing really sjwish

logic and science are both branches of philosophy, always have been, and are only not considered as such by the ignorant who base their views on the matter on how an academic catalog organizes classes. I bet you also think logic is a branch of mathematics and not vice-versa.

>"the study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence"
logic and science both fall into this category.

god did he seriously say that? when literally 99.9%< of the world retains moral realist values? that's just negligent.

>the only protests I've heard about were for tuition
I forgot about that. I had that too, but I had a part-time job that was able to keep up with most of the payments, so my only thought was "get a job you smelly hippie/lazy bum". Those protests usually centred around the student union pub or the admin block, so they didn't really affect me.

But I can sort of understand the protests now, the last I checked, the fees are triple what I had to pay just over 10 years ago.

You're wrong here buddy.

I took an elective in philosophy, they do weird algebra equations but it's all pleb tier maths.

Yes it's full of brainlets because there are little to no entry requirements but some of the students were actually very intelligent, it's just a pity they're going into student debt for that shit.

I tend to view the entirety of social science in a pseudoscientific light. rather, I think hard science follows a strict formula for procuring theory whereas social science follows a loose formula for procuring conjecture.

don't tell this board that IQ is based entirely in social science or they start to tremble and sweat.

taking philosophy 101 is like taking pre-algebra, or sometimes it's literally "history of philosophy" and called phil 101.

and no, logical equations are not "pleb tier maths", math is comprised of logical equations.

...

are you bringing up the incompleteness theorem thinking that it's relevant to the idea that logic is composed of mathematical formulas and not vice-versa? that would ironically only reflect your ignorance of not only mathematics and logic but the theorem as well.

>>>Science

>social """""""""science""""""""""

>Do social "science" labs exist ?
Ye they do. They are small cubicles with a desk, chairs, and PC. Here the participant can be interviewed or he/she can perform questionnaires on the PC. Its kinda silly to call such an enviroment a laboratory. Its like calling social sciences real sciences.

I'd imagine a biology lab but with cages filled with autists instead of mice. Now that I think about it, it's quite creepy actually.

What? All you need is a couple of couches, maybe a podium and a pen and paper.

>cages filled with autists instead of mice
Huh, always wondered how Veeky Forums kept its funding.

My lab only uses cage-free autists

...

Define lab

true

nothing is applied electrical engineering

>I cant imagine something that has existed for a hundred years
...don't blame science for your lack of imagination, user

>Society
>Lab
>He conducts experiments in his imaginary lab without a control

Ah, you must be looking for the philosophy lab, user. It's down the hall and to your right.

Controls are authoritarian, man

they do exist, those labs are basicly a room with seats and a camera.

>wearing gloves while using the computer

What do you think of this lab?
