Looks comfy desu

It's also 500 dollars

I don't have more money than sense, so no.

Serious? Cause if so, I'm going to pop out a cheap version within a year that's way more better, and easily the best at security, plus some sort of no battery type of mechanism. Gonna be so slick, Nietzsche would use one.

Good luck in the patent infringement case

Why! Why! It is going to fuck up your spin and shit.
Just get a cheap netbook, install a minimalist distro of Linux and set the web browser to be locked for a time so you don't get tempted to look at porn you broke spin having loser.

the only people who buy this are people who like the idea of writing more than writing itself

And you know what doesn't need batteries?
This fucking thing. AND IT'S ONLY 45 BUCKS.

This really, I don't see the point of buying something so limited. Old Thinkpads have incredible keyboards and it wont kill your neck and vision after working for more than 2 hours.

>people who like the idea of writing more than writing itself

Why do elitists say this shit all the time?

If think these people not worth the writing they make, why be so upset about it? It's not like they're going to be stealing your publishing spots.

just buy a typewriter and be less of an intolerable hipster

this

Honestly, if you're not using paper and ink, you're not a true writer.

>What are ink rolls

first of all they're ribbons and second they're maybe ten bucks total and last a long time

You'd be better off with a cheap netbook. Or if you want something you can't do anything else with, get a Chromebook.

>ribbons don't come in rolls

Wow!

Why was Hemingway such a cringey hipster?

why are you such a retarded faggot

I did. Its been in my garage for a couple years now. I thought that anything that would inspire me to write would be a good thing.

Think of all the Tibetans you could have fed for a day for all the money you wasted on that.

Everyone was using typewriters back then, user.

Yeah, when you put it like that I guess it was a good investment.

>needing inspiration to write
That's why you'll never make it, user.

Will I need ink ribbons to save my progress?

I felt extravagant investing in a lamy safari and a nice notebook

ay I did that too after the pen thread. Got a yellow Lamy Safari (fine nib with converter), Clairefontaine notebook, rhodia dotpad, and a rhodia meeting book. I can't imagine writing being more satisfying, but if this does just that - my wallet will suffer

Because they're deceiving themselves in a way that we're familiar with.

They are extremely cheap on amazon. Cheaper than printer ink.

7 dollars

>patent infringement
>literally just attaching an e-ink screen to a keyboard
You're a special kind of retard aren't you?

>distraction free writing device

Why not just have self control? If your millennial attention disorder problems are so severe just buy a shitty used laptop and don't connect it to the internet. You could save yourself hundreds of dollars. But noooooo everyone has to have the latest "tech" gadget with all the "apps" on it.

You can buy the same shit off ebay for like 20 dollars.

>doubt.jpg

I hate how much travel old typewriters have, it feels so sluggish and awkward.

Like I said, good luck in court, friend!

That is assuming you can knock two brain-cells together hard enough to even figure out proper product start-up procedures.

they actually made that thing and sold it? i thought it was just a mockup that never got past the prototype stage

that looks pretty interesting, if the keyboard is ok i'd buy something like that as a throwaway to take with me on holiday or whatever (as long as i could get the data off it easily enough)

looks like i'm 4 years too late
>The models were discontinued by the company in late September 2013

you can buy a freewrite for like 200 bux now on ebay
#regret

You can get the AS3000 for 15 bucks on Amazon

amazon.com/s/ref=sr_gnr_fkmr3?rh=i:aps,k:Word Processing Keyboard&keywords=Word Processing Keyboard&ie=UTF8&qid=1505134065

Why not use pen and paper?

I would love something like that, but $500? No thanks. Right now I use my bf's old iPad mini that has a tiny keyboard attached. I'm sure it's over priced to hell, but I just downloaded Google docs onto it and type into that when I'm on the go.

If netbooks are as small and light as this thing is I'd consider buying one if I ever need to replace it.

I actually want one now.

they look fun and "funky".

also, I bet they'll be collectible

>can't see two posts before him

Too slow for my thoughts. By the time I finish writing a single sentence, my thoughts are already in the next paragraph.

Honestly, the best thing for me as a writer was taking typing classes so I could close the gap between how quickly I think and how fast I can get those words on paper.

What are you? like, 50?

“Fifteen or twenty years ago students routinely have written by hand several hours a day - but now they write virtually nothing by hand except exams,”

“As a faculty we have been concerned for years about the declining handwriting problem. There has definitely been a downward trend. It is difficult for both the students and the examiners as it is harder and harder to read these scripts.”

so what's the benefit of a $500 freewrite versus a
