I like soup.

I dont have any strong feelings towards soup

I made Miso soup the other day and it was pretty great, but now I have like a pound of miso paste left over.

The recipe I used called for making your own dashi with kombu and katsuoboshi, but I found another one that omitted that step and just said to simmer the wakame. I'm assuming since most of the flavor comes from the miso paste, that won't be terrible, right? It would cut down on dishes
and make the soup vegetarian, not that it really matters to me.
Soup is the best.
What is your favorite soup?
I need me some soup recipes.

That's tough. I might say minestrone. My other two favorites are french onion and broccoli cheddar, but I kind of have to be in the right mood for them and I don't think I've ever turned minestrone down.

And here's the miso soup recipe I used the other day seriouseats.com/recipes/2016/03/rustic-miso-soup-tofu-seaweed-recipe.html Came out pretty great, but it could have used more green onion. Next time I make it, I'm gonna add in some udon and maybe get adventurous with an egg.

I like melting cheese into tomato soup.

Pizza in liquid form!

Its good but id rather dip pumpernickel grilled cheese in

French onion soup

sheesh that sounds amazing

>take any vegetable you like
>add it with broth
>add cooked meat
>spice
>eat

Is soup the most simple type of food? There no point at all in being specif on the amount of whatever, just toss shit in a pot.

Is chili a soup?

How do you make tomato soup? Add tomatoes and broth?

sorry, I dont eat trap food

Borscht.

I'm gonna make some tonight probably if I can find some good meat at my local market.

I use this recipe because it's simple and turns out heavenly. I sear bone in meat over chuck. Also I don't use canned sauerkraut. I use a whole jar of Bubbies, which I think makes a huge difference. I was skeptical about the cup of brown sugar as well but it works and the recipe makes a shitload of food.

>Cook tomatoes and onions (I like to roast them with some garlic and olive oil)
>blend
>add chicken stock
>maybe tomato paste

Isn't it old man and baby food?

it's food but not a meal.

Ox Tail Soup

cabbage soup best soup

I use this recipe a guide. It comes out fantastic.
finecooking.com/recipe/classic-tomato-soup
I cook it in an instant pot and use a stick blender.

Best I got, its a roman garlic soup.
> put a pot with 2,5L water on a stove.
> Add 40 garlic cloves. Without the shell
> 4 diced potatos
When the water is boiling.
> Add 2 ox stock cubes. Real bouillon is even better.
> Add tiny bit of olive oil
> Add Italian herbs, 2 cloves, parsley, one laurel leaf, black pepper.

Let it softly boil for 40 minutes. When finished blend the soup or smash it through a sieve.

Add salt and pepper to your liking.
