It started as a good novelty channel, but then he showed his face and has only been doing that more and more. Now it's him going off on little adventures and actually trying to make the food from the show doesn't matter anymore. He wasn't that good of a cook to begin with and his personality is very generic and bland so his gimmick was really the only thing he had going for him, but he's basically abandoned it.

His amount of YouTube and Patreon subscribers indicate that most of his viewers don't mind the shift.

I have watched them all so far, and while the exotic meat burrito one was disgusting, his developing himself into more of an on camera presence doesn't really bother me too much.

You can tell in some videos that he's not very confident in his cooking and the final products are decent but nothing to die for.
