T.H. Houghton is mentioned
for good reason, Time Flies Tomorrow is a masterpiece

O Henry
Niles is a Jungian. he cleans his room

Boswell's "Life of Samuel Johnson"
"Icons in Bulgaria" by Teofana Matakieva Lilkova
"The Holotropic Mind" by Stanislav Grolf about Terence McKenna is referenced in one episode
Lots of art books

I remember:
>Dante
>Kipling
>Shakespeare
>Balzac
>Flaubert
>La Rochefoucauld
>Thoreau

Obviously:

>Hume
>Kant
>Berkeley
>Freud
>Jung
>Shakespeare
>Milton

...and a bunch of other stuff.

I can see Niles reading Infinite Jest. Frasier less so - he seems like someone who doesn't need to read fiction anymore except maybe the xmas reread of Moby Dick.

Houghton is a hack, The Chameleons Song proved it

I thought they name dropped Madame Bovary one time.

You can't be a Jungian without also being a Freudian. If you think you are you are a pseud

Well, user, he also doubts Daphne's psychic powers, so I think it's safe to assume they were aiming for clinical levels of accuracy.

Doubts, but is drawn to her so powerfully almost as if she were representative of the intuitive anima he lacks contact with...

There's actually an episode of Cheers where Frasier directly references Freud. Then Lilith (who he was married to at the time) told him he was being a moron and that nobody takes Freud seriously any more. Frasier responds by saying he also is something of a hypnotist, and we then learn that he's essentially got Lilith programmed to respond to all sorts of cues in hilarious and sexy ways.

I'm not sure if you're arguing that Daphne's a figment of his imagination, or that the Jungian's going to be the last person to believe the psychic phenomenon, but either way I think you're higher than me and I left out an important negative in my last post.

He also dressed up as Freud in Frasier on Halloween.

Truly a comfy show.

Dune

Well do you have a comfy job as a psychiatrist in the Pacific Northwest?

>comfy job
Not as a psych, but an archivist for a library
>in the Pacific Northwest
Yes

Well, user, I guess you know what you have to do.

Kill myself?

Outside of the women woes, that's a pretty top tier life user. Good for you.

Except they didn't. They own an unread copy that sits on their bookshelf
