It's a useful form of authority to those with power, because unlike their own power, science has the trappings of infallibility and truth; to the layman science is always right. Science is the educated unbiased smart people using a system of bias-removal to inform the public about the reality of the world around them. The possibility of the scientists or the system itself being subverted against its/their own principles simply isn't in the public lexicon. It's impossible for them to imagine, and that belief is held up by a bulwark of propagandistic messaging by the mainstream media.

We MUST stop using language and resort to only using less complex modes of communication, I would personally recommend emojis only.
