I want to learn more about communism but I don't want to read Das Kapital because it's too fucking long.

Is there an alternative?

Basic Economics - Thomas Sowell
The Road to Surfdom - Friedrich Hayek

Those will teach you everything you need to know about communism.

Marxism: Philosophy and Economics
Thomas Sowell

Some shorter works are "Socialism: Utopian and Scientific" by Engels and "The German Ideology" by Marx.

>Reading the ramblings of two middle class children
No. Read critiques. They are more sensical anyway.

Just find the most malevolent human around you and talk with him, let him influence your life with his malevolent aura for a long period of time... now picture a society where you live an inescapable prison ruled by a man like that with an entire team where the only quality required is to be evil everything else is killed of course.

Modern liberal democracy and market oriented economic systems are basically it, the end of the line in developing modern postindustrial societies.

Use your time for something else.

"Capital and community" is a good summary

Seconding German Ideology
Also read the manifesto if you haven't already, it's far from an understanding of the theory but it can be read in like half an hour and functions decently well as a mission statement if you're completely unfamiliar.
Richard Wolff has a few good lectures online as well if you're new to the theory

Liberal democracy is collapsing under it's own contradictions, though. We are at a crossroads, on one side, we can realise and overcome liberal values, on the other there's nothing but war, fascism and total annihilation. I've gotten into Marxism precisely because it hints at a way out while acknowledging the brutality inherent to the current economic technological order. Liberalism reassures us everything is fine, which seems like an increasingly implausible assumption. Marxism is all about critique, the continuation of Hegel's work, in the 20th century IT degenerated into state ideology, it's true critical dimension forgotten.

just be a communist, trust me, its dope

here you go brainlet

Peter Singer's short book on marx does a great job clearly explaining the basic concepts of marxism. Read that before you decide to go any deeper. Don't get some huge jargon-filled tome.

Once you have a rough overview down, read a general history, like or even something like To The Finland Station, which is flawed but a great read.

Try to find a short, clear rundown of Hegel, or at least the connection between Hegel and Marxism.

Another big thing that trips people up historically is not learning about the connections between marxism, democratic socialism and the foundations of fascism in the late 19th century. This clears up a lot of things when studying the first half of the 20th century.

Most importantly, don't get lost in the cultural criticism rabbithole until you get a feel for the marxist style of thought. Once you learn their moves and concepts you'll see what's going on with Critical Theory much more clearly.

...

Capitalism is bad you might say, but to be fair, I as a white man happen to have more urgent concerns, such as cultural Marxism, the islamisation of the west and gay trannies raping children. Marxism pretty much means a willing acceptance of the SJW yoke, and no I'm not willing to spend the rest of my life as a latter day chandala enslaved to those screeching blue haired PC goblins.

Why do you both suck

When technology hits another breakthrough entire world will consider democratic rational consensus more and more.

>cultural Marxism
Is there any other buzzword that lets you know you can safely disregard an entire post?

Gather a group of friends together and each pick parts to read. When you're done get together again and each explain your part to the others

Watch The Battle of Chile. It's crystal clear, no matter what side you are on.

call it the therapeutic state, secular theocracy, 'political correctness', but you can't deny it's there. I love the term 'cultural marxism' because it pisses off all the right people. Using the most inflammatory language possible is a tactic that has worked wonders for progs, (ie. everything is white supremacy) so we might as well get in the fun too.

LMAO Hayek got BTFO'd by Keynes a long time ago. Why is neoliberalism still a thing?

>Merely pretending

It's the easiest way for business interests to engage in what is essentially merchantilism under the guise of "fiscal responsibility" or "economic liberty"

language is a weapon. discourse is war. The 'rules' of discourse are merely functions of power.

can i have a shout out for my boy r4d3box

language is a technology, you're just kind of a dick

>Thinking Hayek is more of a neoloberal than Keynes

Economic stimulus amd corporate welfare is the bread and butter of neoliberalism

To understand communism and Marxism you have to understand jews and how they think.

just use wikipedia

But only with the coincidence detector add-on.

There are a few. This man as well as Rosa Luxemburg, Kropotkin, Proudhon, Bakunin

I've looked this up, it says it's a "serious study" but I can't find any copies of his criticisms of Marx himself. Apparently he's mostly critical of people he says misconstrue Marx. Would you be willing to give a rundown?

>i hate rich people wah!
>i don't want to work for a living - give me everything ofr free wah!
You're welcome.

Please reconsider your life and priorities be aware that you're posting this shit on a mongolian throat singing forum

the friend enemy distinction forms the basis of all politics. trannies and such should feel honoured I actually take them seriously as adversaries and not just as objects of pity.

>Cultural Marxism is a buzzword
Only for leftist faggots who can't understand that the reason Adorno is meme'd into being an SJW is because of the F Scale Theory in "The Authoritarian Personality"
>Rightists don't have dialectic, they have mommy issues
Wew lad

>i don't want to work for a living - give me everything ofr free wah!
you mean like capitalists?

Sparknotes version.

Also, Communism is impossible to implement in any pure form. You need someone to do all the shit jobs out there and some incentive besides being at the wrong end of a gun.
