Liver Sausage

How are you supposed to eat this? I'd eat it on bread with a condiment, but it seemed wrong/cheap/lazy.

What's the proper way?

braunshweiger sandwiches are fucking amazing.

I know user, but.. there has to be a better way

Fuck I just eat it with swiss and pickles sometimes man

A slice of it on a nice firm cracker with possibly a bit of sliced onion?

Whats it taste like?

I just toast some bread and spread it on it.

on bread with a condiment ***and cheese***
that's really it

On white bread with ketchup and mayo.

Like a salty sausage but the consistency is more of a spread, has a very unique after taste

rye, mayo, mustard and onion

I eat liver sausage on bread with nothing else.

The coarser, non spreadable types can be pan-fried in their own fat.

...

Pan-fry, serve as a sandwich with onions sauteed in Worcestershire sauce.

Rye bread, butter, liver sausage, spicy mustard, raw white onion, sweet and sour pickle, in that order. Best way to enjoy it.

Bread and brown mustard, cheddar, and some sweet onion.

Cook aubergine until soft and buttery. Pan fry thin sausage slices. Top aubergine with melty cheese of choice, sausage on top of that. Set aside, let cool, stick in the freezer. A couple of hours later (vague but it really depends), make SEASONED batter of choice, coat, deep fry to golden. Serve with dipping sauce of choice; suggestion: olive oil, lemon, mustard, salt/pepper/oregano and depending on choice of mustard, maybe a dollop of greek yog/creme fraiche. Red onion chutney. Or a spring onion, cucumber, roasted pepper/tomato salsa. Any path you choose, you end up with something seriously delicious. Just go easy on the salt, taste and tweak.

>drool much?

that looks so good

mix with beer and mustard, inject into soft pretzel
