That is the brand I usually buy, I think they are pretty good.

Never tried cento. Are they noticeably better than the usual hunt's and other common brands?

yes
san marzanos are literally the only option.

Alright, but I'm gonna come back here and kick your ass if you make me spend twice as much for nothing.

>Are they noticeably better
I think so, but taste is a highly personal thing. There is also the question of if you think the taste difference is worth the price difference. I'd say it is worth it for you to try them (or another Marzano brand) at least once.

Ever heard of the can can sale? My aunt bought a bunch for 1
$1.50

>Ever heard of the can can sale?
No I have not.

>expensive meme tomatoes

When will you plebs realise canned tomatoes are all the fucking same. You really think those Italian faggot farmers are going to condemn their best tomatoes to a can? All the trash goes into cans so gaylords like you can make your garbage tomato sauce. Meanwhile, real niggas are out here buying sweet, sweet prime tomatoes, straight from the cow's nip nops.

Real melanin enriched people eat watermelon and fried chicken almost exclusively.

shiggle diggle

i've tried and tried and i concur all canned tomatoes taste the same. i'm never spending five dollars on a can of san marzanos ever again, when 1.50 for whatever is exactly the same.

H-how do you actually make tomato sauce without used canned tomatoes guys?

Yfw you realize that even in fucking Italy they use canned tomatoes for sauce.

these changed my life when I found out about them. they are better with their no salt than huntz garbage bitter shit and 300% of your daily salt.

you have no taste

molto viente

You use fresh tomatoes

There's nothing wrong with using canned tomatoes. Canning preserves their freshness a lot better than the "fresh" ones you get at the grocery store, most of the time. Unless you are picking them straight from your garden and using them the same day, canned is almost always better.

These days canned tomatoes are the same as the ones you get "fresh" at the grocery store.

for me, it's contadina, the sodium content is a perfect.

>tfw store never has san marzano tomatoes

Who the fuck buys every can the moment they're stocked?

i really like the flavor of canned tomatoes. grocery store tomatoes are bland and watery. the Tomato Guys at the farmers market have the best sauce tomatoes, though.

They really aren't for the simple fact that the fresh tomatoes at the store are usually still picked when green and artificially ripened (in the US). Canned tomatoes are usually picked and canned during peak season, when they are fully ripe.

I get the tuttorosso crushed tomatoes with basil. Cheaper, and they don't load them up with salt and crazy amounts of preservatives. No BPA/GMO...etc

>tfw my store just had a 2 for $4.00 sale on OP's pic and got 10 cans

got u senpai

make sure it sauce not pureee, not crushed

what did they mean by this!?

You can get them at fucking walmart for christs sake...

That they bought Monsanto's discount "Sam Marziano" cultivar to cut costs and the Leaf govt. won't let them call them say they are actually from Italy.

You can be confident in the sodium content of this sauce, so that you don't have to add extra salt. Also, remember to get the sauce and NOT crushed.

Bad advice. Whole peeled is best.

>Also, remember to get the sauce and NOT crushed.
WRONG

If you aren't making pizzas with this, you're actually white trash.

being this new

being this wrong

This is the best there is at that cost.

those go 10/10 every couple months. i'm so glad i'm not a retard
are you paying 1.50 a can on sale? where the fuck do you live?

is not giving legitimate advice, he is referencing a hilariously bad video that has become a meme.

again welcome to Veeky Forums, i hope you enjoy your stay!

This is the sort of thing that you should find your local grocery closeout place for. Just go every now and again and keep a look out. Eventually they'll get a damaged pallet or a bunch that a store got in and couldn't sell and they'll put them out at deep discount. And the people who normally shop at closeout places won't pick them up because they don't know to.

I was referring to the sauce vs crushed or peeled retard.
